Review Time
The chocolates I ordered for my wife's birthday will be superb. I know that because Hotel Chocolat products always are ! Delivery was super-quick too. However I have a gripe about how my order was delivered. Amazon left it outside my front door in the hot sun despite the fact that the porch was unlocked. The package could easily have lain outside for hours ( or been stolen ) as the delivery person didn't even bother to ring the bell to alert me. Didn't HC use Royal Mail in the past ? They always leave parcels in the porch so I don't see why Amazon can't do the same. I've noticed that some other HC customers are making the same complaint. Please raise this with Amazon as sloppy delivery spoils an otherwise excellent buying experience.
I'm sorry to not give a great review. I'm afraid the delivery man left the chocolates in the full sun, there is a bench opposite the front door that would have been in the shade. The boxes are also able to be posted thu the postbox!! It says on the box 'do not leave in the sun'. The chocolates are now not in the best of condition. Its the 2nd time it has happened. Please can you put on the outer box that they can be posted thru the postbox and that they contain chocolate. I was going to phone customer services but this has given me the opportunity to tell you
The product was just as I expected and packaged very well. However I have a complaint about the delivery. I received a text to say it had been left by my back door. I don't have a back door so this was a little concerning. My husband an myself search around our property and it was nowhere obvious. Eventually we eventually found behind a neighbours bin. A place we would not have thought to look but luckily we happened to catch a glimpse
I ordered what I thought was a nice box of chocolates when paying it said payment hadn’t gone through so did it again ended paying twice and getting two boxes. Wouldn’t of minded but when they came the boxes were a quarter of the size I thought they were from picture on site. Totally disappointed. I will have to buy further gift now as this is totally unacceptable and total waste of money
