As always the chocolate is first rate. The ordering again was first class. The problem was with the delivery. Today was the hottest day of the year 32 degrees when the package was delivered by Amazon.The package as always will go through the letter box.I double checked this by pushing it through myself. The package says do not leave in direct sunlight. The package was left in the direct sun at the front of my south facing house in full view of passing pedestrians. I buy your chocolates first of all because they are wonderful. Also because the package goes through the letter box. First of all for security but also to protect them from weather. I think you need to take your delivery firm to task because it’s your reputation at stake.
They have stopped doing the large bags of chocolate for the velvetiser. They are still doing the more expensive sachets. Given some rubbish about them not being recyclable. However Knoops still do the tubes. Straight loss of business for you.
So grateful my dad's birthday chocolates got delivered a day early. The post man was so kind as to have left them behind the main door to my lobby too . Will definitely order again and thank you so much to the royal mail and hotel chocolat company to keep me so we'll informed as to the dispatch and delivery process it was due by the 15th but came today !!
The chocolates look lovely however the Amazon driver left them in the full sun in 32 degrees when there was a shady spot on the other side of the doorway. One hour after they were found the tracking information was still showing "Out for Delivery".
Delivery was at around 3.00pm on a very hot day. They arrived slightly soft but am told they recovered after a few hrs in a cool room. I hope my recipient was be honest. I feel this is an issue you have to consider as we can expect a hotter climate in the future. Beautiful chocs but not inexpensive - perhaps more thought needs to be given to delivery.
Had a problem with the website and eventually had to order goods direct from the company. The customer service operator was great and sorted everything out.Amazon then delivered the order to the wrong address. This spoilt the initial suprise and createdsome running around to retrieve the parcel from the address they had originally delivered the parcel to. Again Hotel Chocolat were very good and said if the parcel could not be found they would replace it.
