Review Time
Firstly, the title of the company. Houseart.uk - NOT A UK COMPANY. Completely deceptive. Secondly, they put a tracking ‘estimated delivery date’ on their website. When the date IS NOT met, they remove the date from their site. Fortunately, I screenshot this date in case of any dispute. Thirdly, INCREDIBLY long time frame for delivery. Ordered on the 17th November - received 10th December. Naturally, wouldn’t have minded if this was explained when ordering. Assumed faster delivery due to the .uk name (stupidly thought would be UK based…… THIS COMPANY ISNT!!) Item is ok…. I wouldn’t order again. Not a very happy customer.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY they are not UK based even though they state UK in their title, they are based in China and are nothing but shyters. Had two orders placed, both arrived after weeks of waiting, both parcels arrived damaged. Both orders were in a flimsy box placed in a plastic bag, no protection, no bubble wrap arrived squashed, ripped and damaged. Contacted them to return the damaged goods for a refund. Unable to get my money refunded, now on my 19th email to them. So far I have been offered: free brushes, £6 refund, £8 refund then £10 refund they have now given me one £14.49 refund, but refusing to refund £16.99 for the other! quote from their website:-"Generous 30-Day Return PolicyWe support returns and exchanges without requiring specific reasons. Our return process is designed for your convenience."What a load of rubbish! they will not refund your money even when the goods are not fit for purpose! I will be reporting them to trading standards, along with contacting my credit card to dispute my payment. They are totally unreputable and will try anything other than refund what you are legally due.My advice along with many others on the Trustpilot review is, DO NOT buy from them. Unless you are happy to loose your money, want a load of hassle and then a very long drawn out fight to get any of your money back. I regret that I didn't read the awful reviews on trustpilot before ordering from them, 3.8 stars do not lie! Their own reviews on their website are obviously cherrypicked! looking at the amount of bad reviews they have elsewhere.Appalling company - save your money and shop elsewhere.
This is my experiences so far off HouseArt.uk. I was dubious to use the company, like any other company I don't know, or not from UK, I get little apprehensive &I checked reviews 1st(always negative 1st)& YouTube vids etc.The websites is clear& easy to navigate, the must is PayPal, I'm grateful they use, as this is the key& safety net for trying, using company you don't know incase it does go wrong. The paintings looked (are)amazing, I really liked way everything is, customer service was great they replied every time& helpful!The best bit & that's what sold it to me, that's unique& outstanding to house of art, is the option to choose more than the basic 24 colours,I absolutely love that. There is nothing worse& downhearting to find a painting you love, that you work hard on it then discover it's just a blob of blocks of colour, that looks nothing like that actual advertised paint by numbers.So choosing 48 colours,I will get more realistic painting that matches the advert, that's what I want it to look the same, otherwise what's the point? Time, energy£ down drain. There were paintings I really wanted, so I went ahead and ordered. 3 for the price of 2? Why not!So I ordered the professional paintbrush kit& YouTube reviews made me really want. Plus, 2 lovely paintings.Now, I just sat back forgot about it (see if you don't watch the clock , time goes faster). They kept me updated, that I really appreciate& It's exciting knowing it will be soon.Next minute there it was delivered,all safe, well all there,perfect. Boxed, rolled canvas(smooth to paint on) . Their own brushes are amazing to hold love them(think feel better than so called professional 1s I purchased from here). The magnifying glass is amazing, the canvas , paint everything is top class& not just thrown together cheap. The paint is great, I mean I got a tiny bit on my finger when I opened pot, I wiped it on to brush& it went on for ever, painted so much with that tiny bit.Now I am recovering from severe illness, so I can't do as much as I would like, including painting, but I have started(but still bought more from them in-between).The numbers are clear to read, I was worried 48colours, despite their reassurance it would be small& ineligible but I need not worry, perfect! It's addictive & hard to stop,where as other 1s I have purchased, I haven't enjoyed as much and struggled more with, reading numbers, paint drying etc. Yes, I have made mistakes,(thank goodness for the paper guide) but I'm still determined to fix it, unlike other paint by numbers kit,as this is worth it & I'm excited to see the finished result& have the painting I love. It's got me back into painting, as I have purchased all manners of art accessories. I'm very excited by it all& when receive emails from them.I have purchased more and every time they have arrived safely, perfect. I will not use any other website for paint by numbers unless houseart don't have, as 48 colours is the must , it's worth the extra effort, and their selection of paintings are amazing and well I think the company are to..I really hope it continues, so far I'm over the moon& so happy. This is my honest experience, opinion and review!Thank you for your time, if there is a paint by numbers you really want, just go for it.
Ordering was easy and a vast range of designs to choose from, I chose the street cafe scene, nice to spend many hours painting, I find it quite therapeutic.Everything is included in the kit that you require.Be patient with delivery as it does take a little while, I wasn’t in any hurry so this was fine with me.I Would definitely order from here again.
