Housing ombudsman are useless

Useless service that takes months to investigate and take action, then takes the side of the landlord that has been threatening and unprofessional. I feel unsafe with my current landlords because they are breaking their own rules, hiring thuggish housing officers and ignoring complaints.My case with the housing ombudsman is nearly 2 years old now and the case resolution manager cannot be bothered to read the evidence clearly and then a make fair decision. My case worker is always in a meeting, fails to return my calls or emails and has taken months to simply contact my landlords and get the correct information about a case that started almost 2 years ago. I have contacted my local MP to see if they can get involved.

Why Waste A Year Of Your Life That You Can't Get Back.

Not good you wait a year for a reply and then you wonder why you even bothered complaining to them in the first place. The problem is they are part of the problem rather than the solution, there is no way they are as independent as what they want us to believe that they are certainly not when It comes to Council concerns. When a council tells you to write to the Ombudsman instead of telling you to fill out a claim form and go to the small claims court it kind of say's it all really. Now of course the Housing Ombudsman would deny this, Ebay have been denying for years that if your a powerseller than they delete negative feedback for you so don't expect the Ombudsman to anytime soon say if your a Council than your pretty much home and dry.
