I reviewed a general contractor on Houzz that did a major renovation on your home (over $750K). Our GC refused to honor the required 12 month builder's warranty. He was found guilty by the NC Licensing Board of General Contractors for not building our home to code (plumbing, electrical, flooring and HVAC problems). He conspired with sub contractors to inflate their invoices so he could make more money on our cost + 20% contract.

I submitted a review to Houzz, and they even contacted me to tell me they helped one of their users to decide not to use our GC. They went on to ask for any recommendations for other contractors in the area who did good work.

Strangely, they removed my review about a week later. It was the only one on their website for this builder. I contacted the person who emailed me and asked why my review was taken down. For clarification, my review was 100% factual and was written professionally. I never got a reply. I tried again to submit a review about our experience with this GC and they never published it.

I received a set of lights that I was not satisfied with. I contacted the support team right away to initiate a return, but I didn't receive a response for three weeks. As my 30-day window was approaching, I sent several emails without any reply, so I returned the item marked 'return to sender.' Eventually, they claimed they couldn't locate the package, despite my documentation proving it had arrived back at their facility. They repeatedly requested the tracking number, which I explained should be the same since it was marked as return to sender. This has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had, and I will not purchase from them again.

Avoid This Platform – Highly Unreliable. The service is great at attracting customers until they have your payment information. After that, the experience becomes quite exploitative. We invested nearly $10,000 over a year-long contract and received absolutely no leads or job opportunities. The company offered no assistance or outreach throughout the year—only contacted us when it was time for renewal. We clearly canceled well over 30 days before the auto-renewal, both verbally and in writing. This cancellation was ignored. Our profile was suspended, and the account was sent to collections for a renewal we never approved. The platform continues to control and show our business information while preventing us from managing or removing it. This is not marketing—it’s a billing trap. Contractors should steer clear of this platform altogether.

I rarely do Trustpilot reviews, but I have to make sure no one ever uses this company. I searched a couple years for a dining room set that would match my house, and found one on Houzz in February 2025. I ordered six chairs and two barstools. Paid big money and they told me I would get them in May 2025. After that, they never kept in touch with me, and I always had to follow up with them to make sure the delivery was on schedule. May arrives and I don’t have my order and I call and find out where it is – they tell me it would be delayed until July. July comes around, I don’t have my items: they say now are delaying again – until December!

Early December I went out of town for work, and they shipped me four of the chairs with no notification. They never got a hold of me: no customer service, no letting me know part of the order was going to be shipped. If I had known in advance, I would’ve arranged for a neighbor to come put the chairs in the house: instead they were just sitting outside where they could be rained on or stolen!

It’s now late December and I’m still missing two chairs and the barstools. I called last week and talked to someone to tell them how upset I was, and they said they would have someone call me. A week has now gone by and I have received no call and no word on delivery of the two remaining chairs and two barstools.

Anyone looking to buy furniture should avoid this company and buy directly from the furniture manufacturer instead. Houzz is just a third party and have horrible customer service. They also tried to give me an argument saying that I didn’t pay for the furniture back in February: I had to go back and prove to them with my credit card statement that I had indeed paid. Avoid this company at all costs!

Frustrating experience with the service.

My initial experience with the service was positive. I ordered a table but noticed that the delivery date changed from what was initially promised. I had to cancel the order since it wouldn't arrive in time for my needs. Unfortunately, the contact number provided is not functional. I reached out via email and their customer service method, but I have yet to receive any response! I appreciate the service, but please don’t mishandle my funds. Refund my money as quickly as you deducted it from my account!

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I placed an order for two side tables on 11/2/25, and the confirmation indicated they would ship by 11/12/25. After multiple emails with no substantial updates, I reached out again after 9 days and received no reply. Now, 5 weeks later, I called and learned that my order was canceled by the vendor due to the item being discontinued. Despite this, the product is still listed for sale on the platform. Caution to all potential buyers!

Avoid This Service!

Avoid this service! They bombard you with messages about their excellent customer experience and satisfaction before the product is delivered. However, once it arrives, they stop responding to any inquiries. I reached out three times with no reply. I now have to dispute the charge with my credit card. NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM!

Untrustworthy Platform!

UNTRUSTWORTHY PLATFORM!!! I spent a significant amount on an item, and over a month later, it still hasn’t shipped. They only responded once, asking for 72 hours, which was over a week ago. This is not like shopping from a reputable company! Many products are from questionable third-party sellers. I’m currently in a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. STAY AWAY!
