I have tried this twice and I can not understand how they are still in business.
I like the thousands of others were completely ripped off. The order was cancelled, the funds were never returned and on the first order they double billed me.
January 5th i placed an order the amount came out as it should have , in that order there were items not available so refunded. This reduced the overall price , obviously. I had changed tip amount and in doing so instacart took out the full amount again. So came out twice instead of one time. I contacted instacart , they said it's fine give it 7 to 10 business days and it will go back into my account. Got groceries today - March 2nd and the exact same thing happened. In January it was 60.78 and today it was 71.48. Reached out to support the minute I checked my bank account and the rep Manish gives me the same bull as the rep in January. I explained it has happened in January and I have screenshots of everything and asked him to escalate it. Bud was too dumb to understand what I was saying. Spring is near so this chick won't be using instacart ever again.
I placed an order and was given a delivery time. However, the delivery time was changed later, by over an hour (which I did not approve). I realized the change only after checking the app for its arrival. I tried to cancel and it said I would have to pay a $15 cancel fee. So I was screwed and the delivery which was a cake for someone's birthday now was arriving after the event. That is ridiculous service! I do not blame the instacart delivery person, they delivered at the time stated.
However, if instacart is allowed to change the delivery time they should either, have to contact the customer for approval or allow the customer to cancel without penalty. I do not recommend using instacart.
Terrible I don’t even wanna give one star I will never order from them again through them. I wanted my food. Somebody stole my food and all they could do is refund me. What an inconvenience and you charge all that money for delivery fees. I’m done with this company..
They have absolute horrendous customer service!
Don't fall for their "use your MasterCard & get 10$ off your 2nd order" because they will literally tell you every thing under the sun as to why it didn't come off at checkout. "My items didn't qualify" yes they did, it was not alcohol, a prescription or a restaurant order! "It wasn't enough spent" it was over 10$, "it comes off after your order is delivered" No it didn't! When I called, I was hung up on then left on hold until the chat disconnected, had agents just disconnect during the chat.. when I FINALLY got a solution, it was "I can only give you 5$ cart cash"
If they owe you money, consider yourself screwed because you'll NEVER get it!
This company is just a bunch of crooks. They take advantage of consumers with all these ridiculously high fees. It is never the price quoted and they take fee after fee even days after your shopping trip. You’re better off just waiting or finding another way to get groceries. It’s one fee after another and another it’s crazy and they should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the poor population with all these absurd fees. I will never ever use them again as they debited my account a third time when my last shopping trip was over a week ago. Do yourself a favor and find another way to get groceries.
I have been a loyal customer for over 4 years, but Instacart has lost my trust. They charged me a $15 cancellation fee for a delivery that NEVER arrived, even though my address is verified and has been used for years without issues. Despite escalating this to Supervisor Akshay M, they refused a manual refund and hid behind scripted delays (Case #82738389). It is disgraceful to treat a long-term customer this way over their own shopper’s mistake. I am closing my account and filing a dispute with my bank for 'Services Not Rendered.' This is not about $15; it’s about the principle and their complete lack of accountability.
They have no idea how to manage inventories. CONSTANTLY, they show stock and when your shopper you pay gets there they were out because their inventory system sucks. Just a complete absolute waste of what should have been a good idea. But judging by the poor Trustpilot rating, I am far from alone.
Order delivery at 8pm yet to receive it. Called customer service at 11pm because now Its saying won't be here till 8-11am. Going twll us no shoppers had been assigned . Why not communicate that hours ago. Gladly can say will never ever use instacart again
I placed an order in February 2026 from Walmart. 4 days later I checked my credit card transactions and status. It showed 2 identical charges on the day of my order in 2 different places: one of them read: IC*INSTACART, and then it showed the amount charged. In another place(on the same date) it read: IC*INSTACART Halifax Mid-H and had the identical charge. I took a few screenshots of my credit card transactions records, clearly showing the 2 identical charges on the same day(including 1 screenshot showing both of the charges on the same page. I contacted instacart almost immediately. They asked me to send them a screenshot of the duplicate charge. I did. They claimed they can only see the 1 charge, and that they did not charge me twice. Screenshot clearly showed 2 duplicate charges in the same day. Furthermore I went back to the date where I last paid off my credit card in full. I then added up all my charges since that date, and it matched the balance owed figuring in the duplicate charge. It matched the balance owed exactly (right down to the exact cent). Instacart denies seeing the duplicate charge, saying they only see 1 charge and recommend i take it up with my bank. I doubt this is bank error ive never seen that in about 6 years with my current bank. And the charge did read: IC* INSTACART and then the amount of the charge, and then in another place on the same day IT read IC*INSTACART Halifax, mid-h and the identical charge. Instacart claims there is only 1 charge and take it up with my bank. Multiple bad experiences with Instacart, but this is the worst.
