Review Time
I am pretty much about to chargeback.Order passed on 16 jun.Support query sent by us 24 jun.No answer on any medium to date (2 jul), I have checked before posting this so if the seller says they wrote it s a lie.Lack of communication since order confirmation is appealing, even more so the blatant "we wrote back to you" that the seller writes here to others recently waiting is BS.So don't trust .I will report with results of chargeback.
EDIT (7/12/2025): The refund showed as pending about 2 days after my previous update, and it posted today. I am pleased to say I received a full refund. I would give them more stars had they communicated about the warehouse move and had messaged me back in a reasonable amount of time about the request for a refund.EDIT (7/8/2025): They have started the refund process. I'll update this when I have received it.Original Review (7/7/2025): I've ordered from Japan Candy Store in the past with no issue. Not this time. I ordered a bunch of the on-sale snacks early June. 2 items were shipped in a reasonable amount of time (which I found really strange). And then, nothing.I contacted their customer service on June 29. I asked if I could get a refund (minus what they actually sent), and they replied in less than a day. They said they were sorry, they were moving warehouses, etc. They offered me a coupon if I didn't cancel, and that everything was on hold until I replied. I replied that I still would like to cancel. Silence. I emailed them again at both email addresses a few days later, to make sure they received it. Still nothing.I emailed them once again late Sunday night (early Monday, about 2 AM their time), and still nothing. I see they replied to someone on here a few hours ago, so there is someone over there checking messages. Why are they ignoring people who have legitimate issues and have contacted them? I don't want the snacks anymore. With this experience, I seriously doubt I will buy anything from them again. If you are interested and are enticed by the free shipping, just don't. There are other websites that sell Japanese snacks, and for similar prices. Just do your research, and check Trustpilot for reviews.
I ordered from them may 9th. Waited two weeks, sent an email asking about my order and got a reply days later with them claiming all orders are delayed because they're moving but the week after they'd ship it out. OK cool! Epic. I understand it can be hectic. Two weeks passed, another email assuring me they'd ship it soon... it's been seven weeks now.I emailed them last week asking for a refund and i got something to this effect in response: "uwu we sowwy it's late we are moving uwu we promise it'll come soon wait a lil longer" and something about tariffs and yada yada. It's been 7 weeks, I'm out like a 100 dollars and no order yet.I also found it funny they did a giveaway recently, and one of the steps to enter is "leave us a good review on trustpilot for a chance to win" to salvage their rating on here because it was dipping so low. All around sleazy.I'm not mad they need time to ship it I guess (7 weeks is ridiculous though) but refusing to refund me and making me wait more.
