Recently stayed at this hotel, I booked this for my husbands birthday, Would never stay here again. It was an all inclusive package I booked, with a superior double room.. We were given a standard king room, bedding was not clean, room was dusty. Room was not a re furbished room as advertised. On the day of checkin we were just shown our room from far, we had to carry 3 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs.Food was not nice at all, we had to eat out on a daily basis.. Staff were rude on the reception and on the bar. Pool area was good, but wouldn’t say it was fantastic.
This is a very clean hotel. Food is served 3 times a day, with a variety of food daily. This includes desserts and fruits. Hotel rooms are a 5-10 minute walk to the reception. There is no wifi in the hotel rooms. Only in the hotel lobby area. Staff are not good at speaking English. Google translate. Do not take taxi from the hotel as it is a rip off. Download the Uber app and use that while you are in Egypt.Excursions are king and require a lot of energy if you are up for it. Beach is lovely with turquoise coloured water. We went in the last week of April. Weather was just right.
The service here is appalling. As a new guest, you’re left to figure things out by yourself without clear instructions. You sign agreements without being allowed the time to read what you are signing, and then that’s used against you in the event of a mishap so that they can charge you. The receptionist gave me towel cards and didn’t explain what needs to be done with it. I handed them in to the towel centre but didn’t collect it at the end of the day AS I WASN’T MADE AWARE that I needed to do that. When I went to the reception to raise my concerns about the lack of service, instead of apologising or reassuring me, the staff pulled out the agreement letter and info on the small print at the back of the card and got technical with me. He also showed me the “All Inclusive Guide” that we’re given on arrival that literally says - “Beach Towels: change of towels with towel centre in active pool or on the beach” - PLEASE EXPLAIN where in this statement does it make it clear that I need to hand the towels in at the end of every day to get my towel cards back? There were 4 of them just stood there while one of them endlessly argued with me with all this paperwork in my face. It was embarrassing and unacceptable. I tried explaining that they can’t penalise me and charge $15 per card using an agreement that their colleague, under pressure, didn’t let me read when it’s a fault on their part as well that instructions are never clear and there are loopholes. AVOID THIS PLACE! It’s beautiful and enticing when you look at pictures but not worth it if you’re going to receive little to no help and will be penalised and embarrassed. I booked this for my birthday and they’ve done a good job ruining it.
Ok but won't be rushing back. Food was good but had a gippy tummy couple of times. Beach and pool area good. The rooms ok but wouldn't say 5*. The drinks were awful, cheap Egyptian spirits and Stella beer tasting like camel p*ss. As with the whole country everyone's got their hand out, a scam I noticed a few times was converting payments into Dollars or Euros at an exchange rate very beneficial to them. The bars are in the lobby so no pub atmosphere, often the barman went glass collecting and didn't return for several minutes probably briefed to do that. We returned here after a Nile cruise and the allocated room was occupied, my key card failed to work a number of times.
The worst experience of my life the rooms are dirty and dusty total waste of money food was nasty had a massage at the parlour total scam that was rubbish it is not 5 star all lies all they do there is look after the gardens at least buy your gardeners proper tools poor guys using saws and there feet will never ever go back or recommend to anyone hated it
This has been the worst resort I have ever stayed at - from cleanliness to the most vile reception staff. Rooms were filthy, dust everywhere, floors not cleaned, bed sheets dirty and even used towels given to us when cleaning the room. On 3 occasions our room key cards did not work, the room was at least 10 minutes away from the hotel reception and when calling from the emergency phone they said I have to walk all the way over there to sort it out, first time I did, the second and third time I had a 2 year old asleep in my arms so physically couldn’t, called them from the emergency phone explaining this and they supposedly said they are sending someone straight away, waited 15 mins, no one turned up, I was then forced to walk across with sleeping baby in my arms all the way to reception to get a new card, I was fuming and exhausted at this point. The reception staff were so rude and arrogant, this is just a couple of occasions but not once did they apologise. This is just the tip of the ice berg. Hotel has no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only in the lobby which you have to pay £5 a day or £15 for 1 week to use - how can a hotel be so called 5 star without Wi-Fi? The staff were always so dismissive and a full on can’t help attitude. I have 3 days left in this vile hotel and I cannot wait to get out, the fact that I couldn’t even wait to get home to write this review should speak volumes on how horrible this experience has been for me and my family. Avoid at all costs.
I experienced a horrendous ordeal with the reception staff at this hotel and not just on one occasion either. They are all so rude and not willing to help you at all but my experience the day of me leaving left me in tears and frightened. I left my towel card in the Spa when I was getting ready to leave for my flight. The reception staff were harassing me about it when I was trying to sort out my transfers which hadn't arrived to collect me. I then managed to arrange a ride with a company who were collecting other customers from my hotel however the hotel took my suitcase off the bus because I didn't give them the towel card. This caused me to miss the bus to the airport. They then demanded I pay £9 for the card and I kept trying to explain to them it was in the Spa which was a long walk from the reception desk. They refused to acknowledge this and demanded I go and get the card or pay £9. All they had to do was confirm by calling the Spa and they would have told them the towel card was there. I then had four male members of the reception staff surrounding me refusing to let me leave and one member of staff was shouting at me and intimidating me. I asked to speak to a manager and he was actually one of the members of staff who was surrounding me. I felt so scared and worried I was going to miss my flight and by what they were going to do I had to run all they way back to the Spa to get the towel card yet I still had nothing arranged to get me to the airport either. Once I gave them the towel card which was in the Spa as I had told them I then had to arrange a taxi which cost me £15 to get to the airport. Being a lone female traveller this was a horrendous, frightening and very traumatic experience for me. They made me cry and really intimidated. I Was told if I didn't get the towel card or pay then they would lock the doors and not allow me to leave so I was left with no choice but to go and get it. Lucky the guy in the hotel that arranges taxi's sorted out a taxi for me as he could see I was upset and stressed. He also apologised to me about my experience with the staff. I would NEVER stay at this hotel again and would NEVER recommend it to anyone from the experience I had. I will be making a formal complaint to the hotel and holiday company I booked with and this behaviour isn't acceptable especially being a women traveling on my own. What I will add is that the staff in the restaurant, bars and lifeguards the workers that are usually underpaid were very different to the reception staff. They were lovely, helpful and welcoming it's a shame that the reception staff let the hotel down massively. I was not the only person to experience this at the hotel either. They have no customer service skills and drastically need training on how to provide a good level of customer service.
Well what can I say, if it was for the staff at the hotel as in the cleaners, cooks, bar staff, etc this would of been 5 star and more, but yesterday the 24th feb it all when wrong, we book a trip to one of the island with the staff at the hotel and due to bad weather it’s took 2 1/2 hours longer to get back, we unfortunately missed our flight, but these this happen, this is the day Russia decided to invade the Ukraine, the air port was total carnage , I said to my wife call the hotel and ask if we can come back for 2/3 so we can book a new flight to the Uk, we called they knew us and said yes £45 a night for the room, once we arrived we got to know the real staff…..the reception staff!!! The price was now £120 a night and they are the most rudest unhelpful people you will meet when questioned why the sudden price increase now we are stuck in the lobby, well it’s for Russians only!!! I mean how much discrimination do you want, we have been tipping everyone we come across, looking after them in every way and was actually really know as good guess around the hotel, they totally exploited our situation, and they knew this was the case, we actually booked a family break of 12 for August but this will not be the case, there is much better service just next door at aqua marina who we used before, so please do you research as the front counter staff let this place down, rude people to say the least, so they have lost a big booking can’t wait to get back to the hotel next door I suggest you do the same.
Absolutely loved it !!! Jus arrived home they was a mix up with the room but was sorted Holiday was beautiful the room was clean and the food was great can’t wait to go again next year the staff was amazing made our holiday especially Mohammed the bar man at the pool was fantastic keep it up guys
