Steel smoke matt, 1st coat patchy as expected, 2nd coat still patchy, 3rd coat (2nd pot) and it's like I've used a different colour grey. Not impressed at all and I've used Johnstones paint several times. Really put me off and now in the predicament of either putting on more coats or changing brand/colour, either way more time/expense! avoid avoid avoid
Worst paint I’ve ever used. It is watery and if you go over what you just did it takes that paint off. Using a roller took off my cutting in paint. Goes super patchy. Needs about 3 or 4 coats so might as well save your money and buy a better brand and only need 1 or 2 coats
Raw Linen Emulsion:Paint was like treacle even after adding water and stirring well, couldn't use a roller as it was so thick so had to apply with brush , it looked so patchy and the smell was awful, would not recommend this paint at all.
I called our latest branch as my girlfriend had a paint voucher from her council for a new flat that needed lots of decorating. The first man I spoke to on the first call was very friendly, to the point & helpful. When I rag for the second time to order, it was a different person. Younger. He talk to me like I was dirt, he was impatient with me and generallr rude. I placed the order for my girlfriend. It then dawned on me when the I spoke to the first man again to check the order was ready that the second person was judging me. He thought I was also a council tenant. What they don't know is that I'm not - but what if I am or not, we're all human and he's probably got a job because of these council arrangements. When my girlfriend collected the paint it was on a trolley/pallet & she asked for help. They moved it near their door but not to her car and left her to get on with it.Oh and the paint; Leyland paint is rubbish, the colour is nothing like it looks like online. it's meant to be grey but is lilac. And the coverage is very poor. All in all a poor experience and nothing like the service you'd get a Ridgeons or Brewers but no dount their opinion is that beggars can't be choosers!
I bought my paint from a trade outlet and I can say it is the worst paint I have used in decades. Coverage is diabolical. Even after 3 coats there is show through and I am putting a deep colour on a light wall. The small areas where I used a foam roller are ok now. Waiting for large foam rollers that are not easily available to arrive to give the big walls a 4th coat. Wrote my experience on Instagram. They removed the comment…..
Absolutley shocking. Their advertised paint colours do not match the reality of the colours they are actually selling. I contacted the technical dept who is completely clueless regarding the need to colour calibrate computer moniitors nor the necessity to white balance a camera before taking media shots. Therefore the biscuit brown coloured paint which I ordered arrived and is in fact pink. You really should avoid this company.
Wow... there was me thinking it was just me. Honnestly the worst paint I've ever used. 4 coats of paint to cover a wall. You can't touch up and if you touch the wall it marks. Even with a cloth. It's absolutely shocking. Will go back to Dulux. I've done 3 rooms with this rubbish and going over it with Dulux!
