I offered to guarantee the rent of a young labourer working for us and was rejected due to the financial illiteracy of this company. They don't understand basic concepts like 'income' vs 'savings' There are much better referencing companies available to agencies and landlords.
Absolutely vile. This company is a dystopian scam dressed as tenant vetting, intrusive, incompetent, and abusive. They demand every detail of your life, reject official documents, ignore you, and hold your housing hostage until you hand over your privacy. Avoid them like the plague.
Couldn’t be any worse, I have never experienced anything like this, hence my wish to review.Every aspect of your life is requested, not just about being guarantor for my son’s new rental. I declined the ‘open banking’ option thankfully. Check it out, utterly disgusting if you were unfortunate to click yes to it all. I didn’t then had to ride the endless emails of non compliance, even direct download from HMRC were not good enough. I feel like I have exposed every element of my personal data and to be honest, I’m really not happy about it. I’m seeking legal advice regarding their conduct and will be pursuing every avenue.
Wish I could give this company no stars. They are inflexible and will not speak or offer suggestions if you are unable to supply info on an online account. Their attitude is disgustingly with no verbal communication only hiding behind email keep asking same questions. They are happy to rifle through your online accounts, look at your tax returns and all sorts of other personal info but not to talk to you
Absolutely appalling. No way to contact them by telephone. Huge delays in replying to enquiries, if you receive any response at all. A lack of transparency regarding their processes and unreasonable conclusions made, they behave as if they're the authority on employer policy. They won't accept official documents, such as employment contracts, which makes no logical sense at all. Unless, you're willing to consent to online banking and sharing 12 months of banking history, I would avoid like the plague! The estate agency informed me that they're also unhappy with the company and reconsidering whether to renew their contract with them.
Horrifying process I’ve. Intrusive, invasive & down right scary. Absolutely Unacceptable. They troll your bank account for 365 days @ then ask for hard copies. They want proof of savings including account information, pension details. ISA details, every aspect of your financial life. It’s got to be contravening confidentiality laws. That and passport details & deep incursions to personal information. How can that be legal even.Good credit rating, landlord references, means nothing because it gives them an excuse to troll for information & use as they think fit. I have acted as a guarantor for my grandchild for years, with higher rents & she has a clean record of rent payments. Good references all round. I have given ample information but they want more. It’s a SCAM!
Only just starting on the "Keysafe" journey, as I'm being asked to act as a guarantor. To say I'm unimpressed is an understatement! A business is ACTUALLY asking for my personal banking details, so they can have a rummage around in my account? In 2025? Are they insane? I will not be providing any such information - and nor should you. Solicitors may be expensive and slow, but if this is the alternative...?I could immediately tell what type of business they are when I got their email. They can't even get UK postal addresses correct in their communications: the address of the property in question (which is kind of important) is incomplete (without a post code), whilst their exhibited office address handily omits the crucial post town - I assume LU7 1GN is somewhere around Luton? What chance of them securing your personal data?Be firm with your agent and tell them to use a different form of vetting.
invasive, useless and completely unnecessary. the website broke for me 3 times when trying to use it, finally completed it only for them to make me do it again from the start because THEY GOT MY NAME WRONG WHEN THEY SENT IT TO ME THE FIRST TIME. literally why on earth would you need access to my spending habits. judgemental garbage system that barely works and only functions to give landlords more reasons to reject people during a housing crisis. tos also allows them to give your personal data to any of their sister companies. dystopian but in the most irritating and boring way. EDIT: they called me to say it was incomplete. i said i completed it and they told me the link had not even been opened. reopened the link and it said it was completed and submitted. i have seen hell and it is the keysafe process.
I would give this company negative stars if I could. 1. Invasive and intrusive approach to affordability checking that required access to my bank account and1 year!!! of transaction history. This is utterly unacceptable amount of invasion of privacy, and for no valid purpose - if affordability checking was all they were after, my payslips should have been enough. But they ask for my employer details, get my previous landlords information, run a credit check ALONG WITH access to my bank acocunt?! Isnt that a bit redundant?! Disgusting behaviour, and only reason for this is to collect sensitive personal data. 2. Their privacy policy clearly says they share these details with marketing acencies. While they do not say my transaction detials are shared, I do not trust a slimy agency like this enough to give them benefit of the doubt.3. Web app is trash. It crashed on me 4 times during the application process - and gave some excuse about banking processor being unavaialble for 1hr x4 times. So their "4 minute check" lasted more than 4hrs. 4. The ID check needs to be done on mobile, but you are then locked to completing the process on the phone - including entering all of address and contact details. The app says you can continue on the device you were previously using, but there is no way to do this, and refreshing just shows the QR code. It is very telling that anyone who has had the opportunity to use this company has negative things to say. Only positive reviews here seem to be from people working with the company, for other such companies I would assume. I am adding "Do you use Keysafe tenant vetting?" as a question to ask next time I am house hunting, and staying away from any letting agency that forces me to use this service.
