Review Time
Half the time with this company you don't know if you are dealing with a human being or a travel bot. It may account for their evasiveness and inability to answer a simple question. My question to them was a simple matter of whether there was a connecting flight to replace my flight cancelled by Oman Air from Phuket to Oman. This flight would have to connect with another Oman flight flying to the UK. There is no such flight on their website. They should have automatically refunded the second flight as it was not achievable.
Instead I was advised by them to cancel it and I was informed in writing that my payment should be made on 29th December. Oman Air have made no such payment and looking at the reviews of them it is doubtful if they will ever pay up.
I could have opted for a flight that took me via Mumbai but as you have to self transfer I would have needed a visa and I still wouldn't be paid by Oman Air for the cancellation of the flight from Oman to the UK. Even if i did get any money back Kiwi would charge a £30 admin fee.
booked a trip return from perth to adelaide
payed $1756 on pay pal notice in email cost was in us dollars -aus dollars $2480 went to kiwi .com to cancell trip they said they charge 40 euro to cancell
after 18 days they have refunded nothing saying how sorry they are but that is crap
I have had an ongoing dispute with Kiwi. Whenever I get a response from them it is on a transactional basis and it never is dealt with on a historical and holistic basis. They just cut and paste from a list of various responses and never answer the question honestly. This relates to two Oman Airways flights. Oman cancelled a flight and I was forced to cancel the subsequent connecting flight. The flight that was refunded by Kiwi was still on as a live flight on a recently published E ticket. I queried this and i received this response. 'Since both flights are connected under the same booking code both will be cancelled'. 'In any case the cancellation request was for only one of them'. 'That is why only one of them was removed from the itinery'
Unbelievable service, how does this company still operate? I purchased a two-leg ticket from one location to another and then to a final destination. They canceled the second leg and essentially told me to go away. My only choice was to accept a partial refund for the canceled segment.
I booked a return flight from the UK to Australia, which included stops in Singapore and Malaysia. The service offers cheap flights combined to create a lower overall price, but this often leads to complicated itineraries and unreliable airlines. My initial leg involved a flight to Vienna with a provider known for its poor reputation. Fortunately, my flight was canceled, and the service had to reschedule my trip to Australia according to their insurance policy. However, on my return journey, I was supposed to fly with another airline from Phuket to Oman, but that flight was also canceled, making it impossible for me to continue my trip. I received a credit for the canceled leg, but not for the onward flight from Oman. The company suggested I could rebook with a different airline, which didn't make sense, as I found a direct flight for half the price elsewhere. To add insult to injury, they planned to charge me £30 for canceling the Oman flight, despite it being their fault for using an unreliable airline. Furthermore, any credit I receive must be spent with them. I will never use this service again and will use any credit on a local flight instead.
I booked a return flight from the UK to Australia, my return trip included time in Singapore and Malaysia. Kiwi sell inexpensive flights cobbled together to create a much cheaper overall price. However this often involves convoluted journeys and booking with unreliable airlines. My initial flight involved a flight to Vienna using Wizz Air. I have used this company before and their terrible reputation is well deserved. thankfully Wizz Air cancelled my flight and Kiwi were obliged under the insurance policy to reschedule my schedule up to the point where i got to Australia. On my return flight home i was scheduled to fly with Oman Air from Phuket to Oman and from there back home. Oman Air cancelled the flight from Phuket to Oman making my return from Oman impossible to achieve. I did get a credit for the cancelled flight but not for the viable flight from Oman. The argument put forward by Kiwi is that I could rebook with an alternative airline. Their solution made no sense as i could book a direct flight with Expedia for half the price. The thing about Kiwi is that they will deduct £30 for me cancelling the flight from Oman although it was really their fault for booking with an unreliable airline. Not only this but any credit you get back you are forced to use with them. I will never use these low life's again, any credit I get back I will use on a local flight.
Do not ever use this site — it’s the notorious Kiwi.com.Even though I canceled my flight booking within 3 hours, for a ticket that was 4 months away, I didn’t get a single dollar refunded. From other reviews, I found that some people get a full refund for the same reason, while others get nothing, which shows that the company has no consistent internal policy.I’ll never use it again, and I strongly advise others not to use it either.I’ll keep posting this review every single day!
I wonder why this company is still up and running. They are just a bunch of scammers that constantly get away with terrible service and non-refunds.I recently booked a return flight from Athens to Gatwick and back, and it got cancelled by Wizzair (another horrible company unfortunately). Although I paid a total of £255 for the flights, I only got offered an £80 refund. It was the carrier's decision to cancel the flights, it wasn't me changing my mind. This is absolutely ridiculous! Why would I lose money for someone else's decision? Why do I have to incur an additional cost rather than Kiwi.com (the intermediary) paying for the difference? Terrible service, terrible customer service, terrible company!
I had one of the most frustrating travel experiences I’ve ever had because of Kiwi.com. Due to a ticketing/segment issue on my booking, I was denied check-in at the airport and forced to buy a new flight out of pocket and endure a 13-hour unplanned layover in Kuala Lumpur.Kiwi’s customer service initially seemed helpful, they assured me over the phone that I’d be reimbursed for my expenses, including lounge access during the layover (which I only purchased after they confirmed this). The agent even said that if Kiwi later denied the claim, the call was recorded and I could have them listen back to his confirmation. However, after weeks of back-and-forth, they refused to reimburse the lounge cost, despite it being explicitly promised and included in my original claim. Their explanation contradicted their own records, and they’ve now “closed the case” with no accountability. It’s extremely disappointing — I trusted their word, followed their process carefully, and still ended up out of pocket for their mistake. If you value transparency and reliability, avoid Kiwi.com. Their so-called “disruption protection” offers little real protection when things go wrong.
Utter con.Do not use this company, they literally do nothing for you. Just exist to make more money for Ryanair. Connection protection did nothing to refund flight or hotel cost due to Ryanair's delays. It's impossible to change planes within one hour, when the gate closes 30 mins before. NB in reply to Kiwis absurd response 17th Nov 2025: We did call you from the airport. You left my sister, her disabled, daughter & me in a freezing airport with one member of groundstaff after the last flight of the day had left. If you check your records you will see that you replied to my sister and said that connection protection would not cover us. This left us standed in an empty airport with no alternative but to book flights the following morning, and find a hotel for the night.
