Had I read Trustpilot first I would not have wasted 30 minutes completing their form. It's not free at all. Like everyone here says it's a free 7-day trial but then it appears they take your money anyway. Thankfully I cancelled out before giving any details. Are they crooks? I don't know, but they are certainly not ethical lawyers and that's for sure.
Same as everyone else - in my case, they said there was an error with the transaction, please try again later. I've advised my card issuer and they will decline any attempt by the Law Depot to charge my "subscription"Hopefully my details didn't go through and they won't therefore charge me - leaves a very nasty taste in the mouth though which is a shame, the service itself looked good.
I simply visited their website. I did not enter into any agreement with them, order or receive any download, or give any financial details. Next thing I know, PayPal emails me to say they have taken £83.33 out of my account for an annually recurring transaction. On what planet does this happen?????
I created a "FREE" loan agreement between my 2 companies using lawdepot's rather slick document creator. There were about 12 or 15 pages to click through inputting the information required. Once done I was asked to select a Free or Premium account. I selected Free. I was then taken to a page where I should input my bank card details. Because it's not free. Yes, you can have a 1 week free TRIAL, but they just don't mention that until right at the very end. And judging by the other reviews on here, so many cancelled but payment was taken anyway, I'm glad I stopped there. Why on earth can companies, especially a law firm, not be transparent??? I assumed that offering free documents is a way of luring people in to other paid services. On the basis of Lawdepot's snidey marketing I wouldn't now touch them with a barge pole.(I have, however, taken screenshots of the document I created and will type it up later.)
Great value if you know what you want and are prepared to do a bit of research around the subject for yourself eg I paid £35 for 5 years access to tenancy agreement templates.I didn’t expect it to be “free” , and avoided the subscription chosing one off for the docs I wanted to access.
Commmon story, they converted a free trial without informing me. They do not communicate this in any way. they do not post receipts for payment in their control panel. very underhanded way of doing business and customer services are totally unsympathetic. AVOID - not a scam but as close as it gets
