The sold us a broken couch and are unable to send us a replacement. We have spoken with countless customer service agents. All completely unhelpful. Received countless emails. All of this over weeks of back and forth. And now they say the deadline for exchange has passed?? Which deadline. Of the several year warranty! Nobody mentioned this. And we are only taking a long time due to THEIR incompetence. Never again. Avoid.
On July 3rd, I visited MDM Schoten showroom in Belgium and made a purchase exceeding EUR 1200, of which EUR 986.09 was placed on order. The team assured me that the goods would be delivered within 5 days. However, after waiting nearly two weeks, and no news - I decided to cancel the order. I was informed that by simply refusing delivery, the order would be canceled, and I would receive a refund.I followed the instructions, but no action was taken. I was unable to reach Maison du Monde team through any communication channels, which forced me to visit your Schoten store in person on a Saturday. There, I was told that the order had not been canceled. After spending an hour trying to resolve the issue, I was assured that I would receive a confirmation of cancellation by Monday. Unfortunately, no confirmation arrived.After numerous calls and push overs, the store finally confirmed the cancellation and promised a refund within 5 working days. However, today I received a message indicating that the refund would be processed in 10 days.The customer service at Maison du Monde is ZERO! The staff is not trained nor knowledgeable. The management clearly doesnt care. The company has no phone number or email for customer service, so you are left at the merci of banging your head on the doors of the store or useless chats that dont work either. And pray to god that you get your money back or your orders on time.It's a terrible experience. I will never shop at Maison du Monde again.
Stay away from this shop unless you can wait weeks. They sell items which are out of stock, displaying on web fake delivery dates, which after your payments immediately change from „1 week” into more than 1 month of waiting, because if 1 item is out of stock, the whole delivery is delayed until it is back - without any information before and any option offered to deliver the rest sooner. Also, during these weeks of waiting, you cannot modify your order simply by adding a new item if you wish = make a new order instead and pay twice for delivery. You cannot merge two different orders in one delivery or to even ask them to deliver same day to make it a bit more comfortable for you = it is supposed it be more comfortable for THEM (or for drivers and delivery companies) not for you. Any questions? Take a day-off to spend an hour in a queue on infoline, just be careful not to pick the time of 3-h lunch break for the hardly working team! Shame on you! My first and most probably last shopping there.
What a service for €3.45, I received conflicted information verbally by the agent in charge of my claim and by email that I am confused, what a bad customer service!!!, if for a so small purchase you loose so much energy what it could be for a huge purchase, I have completely deleted my basket worth few Ks as I am refurbishing a complete renovated house and will find the complete furnishing of 6 bedrooms somewhere else
I ordered a sofa bed and the delivery company handled this so bad that they broke it. I refused to sign cause I paid a lot to get something that was broken and they took it. I tool videos and photos while they were taking it back. I have not be refunded for a sofa I dont even have.
I had to return a sofa due to a very poor delivery. The transportation company did not place the sofa where it should have been delivered. Consequently, I wanted to return the sofa. Only after several calls, the sofa was picked up again. Now, two weeks later, I still don't have my refund. So after one month of being in the procedure of returning a sofa, I still don't have my money and since it is a sofa, the amount that I am waiting on is rather big. I will never order from Maison du monde again!
