Went to makro as I normally do was turned away it was only catering I wouldn't mind but restaurants cafes ect have been closed so all the genuine customers was turned away . They are hippercrites. They can get stuffed I'll never shop there again this was hull branch . Staff was rude argumentative when we got to go in . They can stick it hope they go under kpm
In this time of the Corona virus epidemic.First we visited Costco where trollies were wiped with antiseptic gel and we were given hand gel by the very polite and efficient staff. We then went on to Makro, no one wiping trollies no hand gel,hardly any staff in sight. After shopping the check out assistant was lazily leaning on the counter talking to another member of staff. She then sneezed into her hand, then carried on talking. No attempt to clean her hands,then had to handle my purchases.I was quite shocked at the lax attitude especially at everyones attempt at disease prevention. What a difference between the two shops. Maybe the authorities will catch up with Makro and do something about it.
They are lacking in items and staff were rude to me told me to put my belongings in a bag behind the desk because no bags were allowed. I will not be coming here again low quality items also I did not like how they had lobsters alive tied up stuck together in a glass box, even if it is food please have some respect for other livingbeings
This was last time I have visited aberdeen branch.stuff an clearance shelf reduced price,when you go on checkout you will be charged full price!!!It is not the first time.Staff rude including management!!!Bread, 2 days Out of date bread still on shelf at price of 42p.Very doggy.Go to batleys or bookers still within date 20p.
Got to Makro this evening at 4:50, only needed to pick one thing up and knew they closed at 5:00 but all the shutters were down. Walked to the exit door and saw a member of staff who said they close at 4:50 (convenient as that was the time) I told them their opening times state open until 5 she said no it’s 4:50. I wasn’t the only one as a few others turned up for last minute things.
We went to Makro in Cape Gate, and bought over a R150 000.00 of goods. Four Fans broke down, the one was on fire in my bedroom. We bought a gas stove for R18000.00, the door shatter, we phoned them and they told us it will take 3 to 5 workings days to fix. Tomorrow is 2 weeks and not one single person come out to see the stove. My son is getting married this weekend and we told them about our concerns as I am baking the wedding cake, just to be told, it is not their problem. They did not wait 3 to 5 working days for us to pay for the goods. This is not how you treat a person, I will never ever go back. I know I am only one person, but they losing an amount of R8000.00 per month for groceries we buy. I also paid R2000.00 for the extended guarantee on this stove. Why do we need to take this crap?????? For those persons that had good service, I am glad for you.... Maybe you guys had a different Manager, I think they must swap their Manager ones a year, they get to comfortable in their position and thinks the store belong to them.
