Don’t buy it!
It’s not worth the money. Description is misleading . It states metal and wood? But it’s not brass so you can’t clean it? When you do wipe it the coating comes off. This is going straight back. It’s really poor quality .
Ordered flowers for a friend costing £28. She didn't receive them but I had a notification that they had been delivered.
My friend had to knock on doors asking neighbours if they had them which totally spoiled the gift which was to cheer her up during a difficult time. It was stressful for her and me.
She finally found them at another house a few roads away using Facebook which is totally unacceptable.
When I phoned customer service they said I could have a ten pound e-voucher. I said that wasn't good enough as I had spent £28 for delivery of flowers which did not happen. They refused to give me my money back so I won't be using M&S again.
Sandra in the Travel Money department of the Stirling Store was extremely helpful. She was patient and very informative and was no way trying the hard sell. She only wanted the best outcome for my needs. Would highly recommend using Marks and Spencer for your currency conversion but get the marks and Spencer app before you go in for a better rate.
I have been writing to M&S since November 25, after my e-mails not being answered, I sent a letter to the Head Office - still no reply, so I sent another E-mail to the CEO and Customer Service - still no reply.
This is definitely no longer M&S as I knew it - I will have to cross it off my list.
If I could rate this company lower, I would. The location in Wanstead, Redbridge has displayed unacceptable racial profiling. The staff involved seem to be a mix of different backgrounds. I have decided to avoid any branch of this company in the future and will be informing friends and family to do the same. After living in the area for over 20 years, I believe they do not deserve my patronage. My sister has raised concerns with the head office, but it seems they are indifferent to complaints. I will now be shopping at other local stores, which have been much more welcoming. In my view, the quality of service at this company has significantly declined and lacks sophistication. I intend to escalate this issue further by reaching out to local authorities.
The customer service was absolutely unacceptable; it took over 25 minutes to get an answer, and then I was placed on hold for an additional 15 minutes while the agent checked on my order status. I've been waiting for over 10 days without any email updates. I expected much better from a company that claims to prioritize customer care.
My wife ordered four pairs of trousers in size 8 extra small, and I am shocked by the length discrepancies. There is no consistency whatsoever. One pair was actually 4 cm longer! It's frustrating; the company needs to ensure their suppliers adhere to standard sizing. It shouldn't be too hard to have two pairs of trousers in the same size.
After spending days searching on the website, I was thrilled to finally find some items that are now sold out. However, when I received an email instructing me to collect my order from the store, I encountered issues. I provided my details and waited for forty minutes, only to be informed that my order had already been collected—by someone else, not me. They've issued a refund and apologized, but this isn't the first time I've faced challenges with online order collections. I feel undervalued as a customer and am quite disappointed once again. I do want to acknowledge the staff, who were very helpful and did their best to assist me; it certainly wasn't their fault.
I placed an order on the 28th of December, and it was only delivered yesterday, on the 9th of January! Why does the company use a delivery service that is so unreliable and also misleading with their tracking? Don't be misled by the tracking updates that say 'attempted delivery'; this only indicates that the package is in the delivery van, not that an actual delivery attempt was made. Given that standard delivery costs £3.99, I expected a much better service.
I bought three boxes of biscuits in December as Christmas gifts for my sisters-in-law. On Christmas morning, I received two messages informing me that the biscuits expired on December 10th. I contacted customer support today, but without a receipt, they couldn't assist me. I will never shop with this company again!
