Review Time
Bought a FC8000, the app doesn’t recognize the time zone I’m in due to daylight saving time, so I had to set my time zone to -4 instead of -5. After spending a whole day to figure that out, now my light doesn’t turn off at the specific time I set with the App timer. I already had plants in veg under a smaller light that needed up-potting immediately, so now my plants are all stressed out with issues I’ve been having with the FC8000. On top of that, Mars-Hydro didn’t ship my inline fan & filter and shipped me a seedling heating pad instead ("due to a system error "), now I have a light installed that I will need to drop to install the fan and filter. I just contacted customer support today, let’s see how long it takes for them to resolve this App issue. Extremely disappointed and feel like I’m a victim of false advertisement due to the fact they are still selling products with known defects….
So I have multiple Mars Hydro products with no issues, but I bought the FCE 6400. It was going well until the plug had almost melted. I guarantee if I hadn't found it in time, it would have burned my house down. The same product, a friend of mine found the exact same issue with his plug. After contacting Mars Hydro, they said they would replace the product if I agreed to pay half the price of a new one, which I have done. It's been almost two months since payment, and I still have yet to see the agreed-upon replacement. It's becoming an absolute joke, and I will be contacting consumer affairs if I do not receive it in the next few weeks. I'm very unhappy with their service.
The service I’ve had from mars Hydro is fantastic, I received my order next day the kit is amazing with everything you need and the aftercare is brilliant they answered my email straight away with a little question I had about the filter , I highly recommend Mars Hydro 👍🏼
Low quality lights at what used to be an affordable price. Customer support is unresponsive and seems to be instructed to delay comms. They will ask for the same pictures and info all over again. One email per day. For weeks...as long as they can avoid giving you some actual support. Lights are cheaply made and will likely give issues, specially older models. So far, I have had 3 different issues with a single light (an FC-E6500) and none of them were sorted by their team, just endless exchanges after I fixed things myself.There are similar experiences all over the internet, avoid like hell. At their current price, there are much better options in the market, with top bin LEDs and much much better customer support... plus an actual functioning warranty.
Had a slight issue with one of four light fixture hangers. Their customer service made everything right. Have been happy with the TS 1000 fixtures and now am confident that if something goes wrong Mars Hydro will take care of the situation as fairly as possible for both parties. Thanks again!
