UPDATE: Since leaving this review I have have done extensive research and have conclusively proven the light in my “complete system” is not strong enough to adequately cover the full surface area of a 3x3, thereby requiring a light upgrade. Complete system!!! I Does Mars Hydro care? No. Do they respond? No. Will I be taking them to court? Yes! I WILL BE TAKING MARS HYDRO TO COURT. **************Since writing the below review and receiving the boiler plate apology from Mars Hydro, they have DONE NOTHING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE. NOTHING. It is CLEAR they do not care about their customers' experiences with their products. It is equally clear that Mars Hydro does not know what is means to "Do the right thing." Avoid this company!*********************************************I LITERALLY BEGGED my family to purchase me the Mars Hydro 3x3 63" "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM" (as advertised on Amazon) for my birthday so I could grow my first cannabis plant from seed to harvest!! Note: it is legal to do so in my home state. And they did!! I was sooo excited. So I bought a seed and off I went on my journey w my Mars Hydro "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM". As an inexperienced grower, I immersed myself in the ways of cannabis horticulture because I wanted to grow my plant optimally (who wouldn't?) And as a result, I quickly came to realize that the Mars Hydro “all-in-one” solution my family bought me for my birthday is materially misrepresented because it's NOT EVEN CLOSE to being a "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM" as promised through its explicit marketing.Over the ensuing months I was forced/obligated to spend over $900 on essential, missing components to make the grow space not only base-line functional but also capable of managing all aspects of a typical cannabis plant's growth phases all the way thru to harvest. The "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM" critically lacked:HumidifierDehumidifierIntake fan Automation toolsAdequate inline fan All of these missing tools are used in an orchestrated unison to maintain a stable, (mostly) auto-regulated environment (managing: temperature/humidity/VPD) using digitized equipment, for a digitized age. Note I: My "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM" came w a 150w LED light w dimmer that is mediocre at best, a fine oscillating fan but the tent (while sturdy and easy to assemble) has ports that are too small. Thanks again Mars Hydro!Back to the story: Unsurprisingly (or surprisingly if you believe in unicorns), Mars Hydro sells ALL the aforementioned critical, "must have" components separately (and expensively), explicitly acknowledging their necessity, yet omits them from their "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM". This overarching (nefariousness) marketing strategy has its roots tied to theoretically based business models:Planned incompleteness: Omitting critical components from a seemingly full-featured product. The deceptive company provides a solution. Information asymmetry: Exploiting beginner customers' lack of knowledge regarding environmental controls. The deceptive company provides a solution.Upsell trap: Requiring significant additional investment for baseline functionality. The deceptive company provides a solution.Clever “deceptive company” right??? The name of this deceptive company is Mars Hydro!!!!!!!!!!!!Fun fact: If you're wondering if I bought any of the essential "must have" components I needed from Mars Hydro, the answer is NO—BUT I TRIED ...here's why I didn't: they didn't HAVE ANY OF THEM!! You see Mars Hydro is far behind the market place in terms of innovation, so when I did need to buy the essential add-on tools, the “best of the best” could only be found in Mars Hydro's competitors product lines' like VIVOSUN and SPIDER FARMS. Note II: When I did need to upgrade the 4" inline fan that came w Mars Hydro's "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM" (it was far too weak...) I tried to buy a Mars Hydro 6" inline fan but THEY WERE OUT OF STOCK!!! So I went with a more powerful VIVOSUN 6" inline fan (which also came w a bigger carbon filter and automation). Just sayin’…As I type, I have yet to hear back from Mars Hydro in any meaningful way regarding the review/complaint I am writing here--which I submitted to their customer service team on Monday, July 28th, 2025. Maybe this 1-Star WELL DESERVED rating will get their attention. What matters most is that other first time growers MUST BE KNOW THAT MARS HYDRO "GROW TENT KIT COMPLETE SYSTEM" IS NOT THE SOLUTION YOU'RE LOOKING FOR IF YOU WANT TO GROW YOUR PLANT CORRECTLY. MORE SO, THE COMPANY BEHIND THIS SHAM PRODUCT CLEARLY HAS NO VALUES, INGENUITY OR CUSTOMER SUPPORT FOR PATRONS IN THE UNITED STATES.TO SUM IT ALL UP: MARS HYDRO IS A DECEPTIVE & DISHONEST COMPANY!!! AND IS A COMPANY TO AVOID!!!I STAND BY EVERY WORD.
Over past 2 months I have purchased a number of items from Mars Hydro. I wish I came across them sooner! It is rare to work with such a responsive sales team. Advice and assistance in products. I have dealt with both Australia Team and Europe Team. Each time I "talk" (email) to them they are quick to respond with a practical response and shipping dates. These guys are on the ball. Their products and brand seems like something one would be proud to be working with. Good doing business with you mob!!
Great quality products all around, starting from packaging and build quality it is continued in product performance and all around understanding of user demands. Also what is not as important but extremely satisfying are product aesthetics and how they fit each other. On the other hand i had some issues with one of products, but it was resolved in very good manner by the support, witch is also good and provided without delays. Competition is hard but Mars seems to understand what they are doing and constantly improve their products.
