HUGE SCAM

This merchant misrepresented itself as a UK-based jewelry company but operates out of China and engages in deceptive business practices that prevent refunds or returns.Upon receiving the merchandise (Janie Coin Layered Necklace, Cina Drop Hoop Earrings, Silver Golden Threads Ring), I found the quality extremely poor and not as described. When I requested a return, the seller demanded that I ship the items back to China at my expense, costing over $100, exceeding the purchase price. This policy was not disclosed at purchase, and it seems to be a trick they use with buyers to scam them. The sender address on the package I received was: 1080 SE 5TH ST STE 300 HIALEAH FL 33010-5791, and they are asking me to ship it to A PERSON's HOME in China, not the Company. After research, I discovered numerous BBB and consumer complaints describing identical experiences.I asked my bank to reverse this charge under the Fair Credit Billing Act (15 U.S.C. §1666) due to merchant misrepresentation and goods not as described and was successful.NOTE: They have multiple websites that are exactly the same, just with different names.

Total Scam

I ordered some jewelry I saw from a Facebook ad on September 6. On September 10, I received a shipment notification, and began eagerly tracking it. For WEEKS, it was "In Transport to Next Facility." I thought this was a bit unusual, but I also know the USPS has its challenges. Then when I tracked it a couple of days ago, the tracking information said it was seized for counterfeit postage. I reached out to their customer service for a refund. "Chris" said he was reaching to the carrier to see what was happening with the package. I requested a refund again. More jibber jabber from "Chris." Requested refund again. Then "Chris" said he had resolved the postage issue and I would be getting my jewelry soon. At this point all trust is lost. I don't believe "Chris" and have again requested a refund. From my experience, this company is a total scam.

Ring Size Not True to Size, Returns to China

I purchased two rings size 6. I always wear size 6. Both were too big. I wanted to return them but discovered that I would need to send them to China which would cost over $150. Not happy about that since I didn't pay $150 for the rings. You should not have to return items to another country when they were shipped from the US.

NOT real gold

These items are not real gold, or the stones they say they are. The real jewelry store in my town said they're probably chinese. Complete ripoff. DO NOT SHOP with these people. This is the third website name I've seen them use to sell fake stuff.

The Matilda & Milo Gift

The first time I saw Matilda & Milo Jewels on FaceBook, they were announcing the closing of the store. I usually scroll past ads like this, but the images of the jewelry really caught my eye. The pieces were stunning! I could immediately see the craftmanship in the work, and the talent of their maker. It was so compelling to me, as a fellow artist, that I just had to leave a comment and express my admiration. I wished Matilda well on her decision to close the store and focus on more important things in life, and I and urged her to continue creating at least for her own personal enjoyment. To my surprise and delight, she replied to me. She was touched by what I wrote and offered to send me a gift as a thank you for the kind words. I messaged her, said I saw her response, and I felt we artists had to stick together, and I figured that was that. But she insisted I send her my address, and true to her words, she sent me a few pieces of jewelry! They came in a beautiful Matilda & Milo box, individually wrapped, and are as lovely as the images I saw online. Thank You Matilda, for your incredible gesture! It is greatly appreciated and will be worn with pride. You’re an amazing artist, and I hope you find your retirement to be relaxing and rejuvenating! And who knows, maybe we’ll get to see you back here again someday. Warmest Wishes,Lisa Zackowski

I bought the little sunflower ring on a whim because it reminded me of something I used to wear in college. When it arrived, I actually laughed because it looked even sweeter than I expected. The petals have this soft, warm shine that makes it feel almost sentimental. Even the box felt personal, like someone packed it with real care.

This company is a scam

This company is a scam. After having a previous issue I went to the Matilda & Milo site specifically to check on their delivery practices. They 'claim' to use FedEx, UPS, USPS and DHL when IN FACT they use 3rd party carriers like "YinYin" who will leave your package anywhere to be stolen; in my case, I live in a high-rise and they managed to get into the building, which is the hard part; only to leave my package in the lobby, on the floor, where someone obviously stole it. And Milo? They want ME to go after the carrier THEY used to pursue a claim ... THEY NEED TO REFUND MY MONEY

Came early and felt truly handmade

The earrings showed up two days earlier than the estimate, which already made me happy. They look handmade in the best way; not factory perfect, but elegant and unique. I wore them to brunch and my friend thought they were vintage. The whole unboxing felt so sweet.

Deceptive and predatory marketing…

Deceptive and predatory marketing practices from a company located somewhere in China posing as a US brick and mortar store. No response to my email below!Matilda is a fictitious US business owner. She and her store do not exist!Never received the jewelry that I know from reviews here and other platforms is from China made with poisonous lead :Refund $ 169.42 USD immediately!I am furious! Although the tracking shows that my order was delivered from a carrier, nobody has ever heard of, it never arrived!I don’t want it! You are scammers! The tracking from the order I never received confirms that this garbage comes from China.I ordered this jewelry from a US based brick and mortar store, claiming they were going out of business.Included in the screenshots in the PDF below, are screenshots of other US customers reporting your illegitimate business to the United States Better Business Bureau. Upset US customers are also reporting all over the Internet that your items are leaded junk and are not handmade as advertised. You should be ashamed of yourself preying on Americans!I am a United States attorney. If I do not receive a refund immediately, I will file a police report, report you to the federal trade commission, take all of these documents to my financial institution to ensure they report you as well and exhaust all other available legal remedies available to me!!!Your deceptive, predatory practices will not be tolerated!

My order came a little later than expected, but the earrings are lightweight and stylish. Worth the wait.
