I am a long time customer of Mejuri. I bought two pairs of gemstone earrings as gifts for the holidays. I noticed the butterfly backs were slightly loose although they did not slide off when I put them on at first. I ended up exchanging a pair that was visibly too loose. I then tried to wear them out once and one pearl stud completely fell off and is now lost. The gifted pair I gave my sister also lost one earring back after the first trial of wearing them. So i’ve lost two earrings within a month due to poorly manufactured earring backs, unfortunately no way to prove it other than the fact that they just fell off on the first wear. Warranty does not cover lost items, and my claim was denied by Mejuri, which i understand. However, I asked customer service if it was possible to purchase a single earring replacement as to not have 2 incomplete pairs, and they never responded. I will not be purchasing from Mejuri again, I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on this shop but it’s clear that quality of items and customer service is not a priority. I would not purchase these earrings or anything with butterfly clasps if I were you, it is money down the drain.
Jewelry is beautiful. Store is beautiful. Sale people are lovely. I chose and purchased two bracelets and unfortunately in 48hrs, one broke. They were very apologetic and replaced it and was delivered timely. The replacement has shown no issues. It was a hiccup in an otherwise great experience.
I've purchased between 8 and 10 items. I've loved every one of them. Some items retire too soon and I wish some of your small earrings were also sold as singles (emerald studs). Would you consider creating custom birthstone bracelets (where we get to choose which 2 or more stones we would like)? Thank you!
Mejuri company policy states that you must be over 18 years to get piercings. I went to mejuri with my daughter who is 25 years and she could not get her ear pierced because she did not have a physical ID. She had digital ID and I as her parent was there with her and informed staff that my daughter is indeed over 18 years and if I need to provide consent as a guardian was happy to do this and fill in forms or whatever was required. This whole consent issue was absolutely ridiculous and can you believe it as her parent and guardian they still would not pierce her ear because there was no proof that she was over 18. Go figure!!!!!!!.
I have purchased several pieces over the last 5 years and whether they were online or in store the service was always immensely kind and helpful. The jewelry is stylish and beautifully crafted and as a consumer I certainly appreciate the excellent price point.
