Midphase migrated my account to a new server and killed my website in the process. Attempts to change DNS servers over the last week have not resolved this and messages to customer support are going unanswered. Worse still, the URL to my site now gives an 'Account Suspended' message even though it is paid up until next year which gives the impression I'm at fault. I've been a midphase customer for over a decade and while they've never been brilliant, this is a new low.I would recommend avoiding this providerEdit: After escalating the issue it was resolved over two days and a number of emails, hence change from 1 star to 3 stars. Not higher as this issue should never have happened in an automated migration in the first place and caused both me and my customers frustration and lost time. That said, response after escalation was good.
I have been 14 years with midphase but recently they changed the core platform and I am suffering a lot of issues that I am seriously considering to terminate my account. They changed cpanel to stackcp and the mail to stackmail. Here are my issues:1. They did not inform that the the login to the SQL databases has changed and my websites was functionless without access to mysql and have to spend money on developer to change code2. The change of email settings of stackmail do not work on outlook. One has to delete the accounts and use pop3. All sent data and settings in outlook with the emails are lost. 3. Maximum capacity of email storage 10Gb (on cpanel was 100)4. the stack control panel is basic and lacks features compared to cpanel5. The admin cannot change the password of the cpanel, it must be asked to the support centre. 6 Recover /reset password did not workBasically the customer care are nice but these limitations (and more to discover) are very frustrating and are not the hosting plan I paid for when I subscribed to the old Misphase. Really a pity. UPDATE 5th NOV.Issue with SSL, after 30mins waiting the custumer agent, (OWAIS M) he/she closed the chat window without even responding. Hate this company so much!
I'm impressed by the live support.I had an issue related to a recent migration of my shared hosting from CPanel to StackCP mostly due to my account being in place for so long, I had some very outdated configs.I was skeptical that I was going to be able to get live support but I gave the Support Chat a try. The support agent I got was able to very quickly identify multiple issues and resolve them for me.
Correct responses and fairly quick response time. But the chat manager does not know what kind of emails you send your customers... They lack crucial info like nameserver addresses and ftp protocol setting to unlock and FTP by IP... upon migration to stackcp. That necessitates these chat's alas...
