I got a random charge of £176.99 out of my bank account. After cancelling my card I was trying to work out just what had taken my money. I realised that I had signed up to a walking yoga free trial 6 months ago. I clearly hadn't realised the term that it would take £176.99 at the end of the 6 months. I also find it completely outrageous that this company keeps telling people in response to their negative feedback that they want to support peoples mental health and not cause stress. I do not for a second believe that anybody working for the company cares at all for peoples mental health, just about making easy money. Be an upstanding company like many others - send reminders when trials are coming to an end. Better yet, make products that people continue to use and value and not completely forget about long before the 6 month trial period is up. Oh wait, that would make less money so I guess they won't.Anything associated with Mindway should be avoided like the plague.
Midway is unusefull and frustrating scam, with difficulty to cancel subscription and no real content behind. They are untransparent and they use many strategies how to slow down your subscription cancellation or even misslead you - in a way that you think you didn’t subscribed their app, but you actually did. In my case I have download a free test option and when I wanted to cancel it on time, my App store, where I can manage all subscriptions, didn’t show that I am subscribed to Mindway. Also in their email with bill and in their app, there is no option to cancel subscription. You need to guess if you are subscribed or not and write an email to customer support. Also their content is just a list of endless activities or goals to choose, but with no real content or instructions behind. E.g. you select as an example an activity meditation daily, you get nothing! No instructions when and how to meditate. So nothing. You can only select endless number of goals or activities and app even don’t suggest, that all activity that you selected can not be done in same day!
I was charged $317.99 CAD on my credit card for the Mindway app and I never subscribed to it! I don't have the app and never heard of it. I wrote and they only replied that I did subscribe but could not provide proof. Maybe a class action suit is in order.
Like most of the reviewers here, I fell victim to the join for free for 6mths promise of better mental health and the small print we’ll charge you £176 in 6 months. I didn’t find I used the app at all. 6 months on I don’t remember if or how I tried to cancel or just plain forgot, but of course the payment has gone out. They have all the data - they know I haven’t used their app. They say they sent me a reminder of the charge 7 days before they took payment with the right to cancel - but guess what, there is nothing in my inbox or junk folder - and they point blank refuse to refund the payment. This is not a company who want to support your mental health, it’s just plain old corporate greed. Avoid.
Subscribed to the app, couldn't log in. Response from customer service was slow, uninterested and just plain awful. Refusing to give a refund even though the app still won't open. Their response was no refunds because the service was delivered. If I could give a minus star review I would. I didn't look up the reviews on this app beforehand because it was recommended by another app that is actually very good so far so thought they wouldn't affiliate with something this terrible, but I was wrong. Don't waste your time or money on this hogwash.
This company is a total scam, Ive just noticed a payment of £ 176.99 has been taken out of my bank account and I havent signed up to anything from this company! Why would they do this, its a total scam to get money out of people. I now cant pay my bills this week due to this company.I emailed them to say Id never heard of them and didnt give out my bank details and to refund my payment - and they just said no - really helpful !!!! NOT !
I commited to a trial subscription for Walking Yoga and a additional subscription to Mindway. After a few weeks I discovered that money was taken out of my account, but I only subscribed for a weekly trial. I immediately cancelled the subscription to prevent any further costs. This was last June.Now, (November 25th) I discovered a large amount was taken out of my account (€200+) and I founded out that it was this Mindway app that had charged me this large amount of money. I did not know about this subscription, as I gathered it had stopped when I cancelled Walking Yoga.When I contacted the company, they had a lot of "beautiful" words about that they understand my frustration, but their policy states they're not going to refund.The most awful about this situation is that most people (including me) who are committing to these apps are searching for a way to better their life. Instead they leave you up to your own, with no reminders and just ripping off your money. I hope you lose a lot of users, because I will certainly be speaking poorly of your business.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR NO DIET. They are scammers and take money even though you cancel the subscription. I received no email confirmation of cancellation and they have taken £176.99 for an app I don't use. They don't even give you an email to warn you about the upcoming charge for the trial ending. If your bank blocks the charge, they take it under a different company. They are frauds. Do not use.
