Review Time
I strongly advise against downloading this app, if you’re in Australia, it costs $102.99 every six months—which is completely unreasonable and unaffordable. I reached out to customer service feeling embarrassed and vulnerable after my subscription auto-renewed without any warning, which is different from my experience with other paid apps. I take full responsibility for not setting a cancellation reminder when I reached out to Mindway. I explained I’m a single mother and I couldn’t afford the cost and to see whether they could help (even with a partial refund) since I hadn’t had any activity on the app.Their response was upsetting. The first junior support specialist ignored my request and simply confirmed that my subscription had been canceled, but a few days later, I checked my Google Play account, and it was still active! Please beware of this, as I’ve seen other reviews confirming similar experiences. Instead of offering any help, they just sent me the terms and conditions and applicable legal acts to cover themselves. I was genuinely shocked by this reply, especially since this is supposed to be a mental health app “meant to alleviate worries.”I suggest researching your options before making a purchase. There are many other free apps available that can help with overthinking, which I wish I had explored further.
I signed up to the app back in March. I used it for a couple of weeks and then felt that it wasn’t really helpful, so stopped. I forgot that I had signed up to a 6 months service renewal, and without receiving an email to remind me the money would be leaving my account, I wasn’t aware so I couldn’t cancel it. I then seen a payment go out of my bank to a company called Medical Score and was confused as to what it was, after some checking through things and speaking to the bank I realised what it was.I contacted them to request them to cancel my subscription and asked if they could refund me. I was told no, I would not receive a refund and I can either use the app or not. I explained to them the payments leaving me in areas for some utility payments and the refund would help me out a lot, especially in this climat where I have to work two jobs to support myself, I was still told no, they couldn’t do anything. For a company who wants to help people improve their wellbeing, they don’t care about their customers, just taking people’s hard earned money and choosing to not be helpful when they could really make a difference.
