Items thrown in poly bag for shipping with no protection. While both toys were undamaged the box of one was crushed making it difficult to give as gift. Requested refund including return shipping. Apparently they would rather give a voucher for free toys than refund and pay for shipping to get their items back, though it was their own sloppiness that caused the issue. Or I can ship on my own dime and maybe see a refund of the items only after they inspect (pictures were provided)
As a Montessori grandmother, I can appreciate the quality, the faithfulness to the Montessori learning tradition and the hands on touch, the toy selections have. I can recommend these products unreservedly. I purchased the Christmas tree, the Snowman and the Nativity scene. My grandchildren have spent some wonderful time decorating and do so over and over again! Merry Christmas!
I recently placed a repeat order for the Christmas themed Doll House because I originally ordered one for my two-year-old granddaughter. It was received with delight, so I ordered the same thing for our three-year-old grandson. (Two different households). The little wooden house and Christmas characters are well made and the children loved them. They both enjoy the timber “lock” that secures their characters inside and the rope handles so they can carry the little house around. A bit of Christmas fun. Delivery was efficient and packaged well.
I should have done my research first. The product took 14 days to arrive. It was very expensive compared to any other toy store. Paid over $37 for an item I could have bought for less than $14. It was a children’s game that came with no instructions. The return process was designed in the 19th century and cost better than two thirds of the item purchased. DON’T BUY!!! An awful experience.
This is by far the worst experience I've had with online ordering. First of all it should've been a red flag when I was unable to locate a phone number. You have to email the company and the response times for a response is 1-2 days.I ordered nov 20th, by December 1st I emailed asking for a cancelation because the items had not yet shipped. I waited 2 days for a response and I only got a response AFTER I sent an email that I had disputed the charge wirh my credit card company. They then sent a tracking for 2 of the items and it says they should arrive before December 25th. What?? From November 20th? There's no way to get any info from these people at all.. I dont advise ordering. I will update if and when my items arrive, but now reading other reviews I don't expect the quality to be there. TARGET sells essentially the same thing but I was trying to support small businesses. Actually I have since found other toys for less money. This has been a nightmare
Ordering was easy ... but payment was difficult AND was in American $. I should have researched first as many people were disappointed with the quality of goods and the time taken to arrive. MY ADVICE as I await my order is RESEARCH and DON'T order form this site which rides on the good name of Montessori.
The quality of the products is inconsistent. It appears they are banking on the Montessori name but not providing the quality expected. Some items require setup without any instructions; almost every item I ordered had something wrong with it (horn won't beep, chip in the fake wood), and the one item I needed for a birthday party arrived 2 weeks later than the time the website said to expect for deliveries. I found the identical item on Amazon for 1/3 the price.They did respond to my issues by offering store credit, so I have given them 2 stars.
