Review Time
The worst experience ever. My handbag got STOLEN, not lost, STOLEN. I had documents, credits cards and personal belongings inside and the cruise did absolutely nothing. They said that they can’t watch the cameras for lost items, I explained to them a hundred times that someone stole it and they did nothing. They don’t care about your things or your safety. People can easily steal things during the trip because security can’t and won’t watch the cameras.
I told them EXACTLY where and when the bag was stolen and they still wouldn’t watch the video. They say they’re not responsible of what happens to our belongings during the trip, unbelievable.
What is most disturbing is not only the theft itself, but the complete refusal to take action. If security declines to review cameras even when a theft is reported with specific details, this raises very serious concerns about passenger safety and onboard security protocols.
I am deeply disappointed by MSC’s handling of this situation and extremely concerned about the safety standards aboard this cruise line. I will not be traveling with MSC again.
MSC SEASIDE
For a senior citizen , you mozwell just stay in your cabin the whole journey. There is nothing of interest for seniors on this boat .
The food at the marketplace is so old reheated dry bland rubbish but the worst is , you pay your honest goodwill fare then after you've paid they then they come this "HOTEL SERVICE CHARGE" $164 and they try to hold you on the ship on disembarkment day until you give them your credit card !!! Stay away from these Italian MAFIA THEIVES.
Stay as far away as you probably can from this cruise line! Customer service is absolutely horrid! I've been waiting greater than 60 days for my refund from a canceled trip. Every time you call customer service you get the same runaround with the same "The check is in the mail" story. This was to be my first time cruising on this cruise line. I think I'll continue to spend my money on the Carnival Cruise line
We just got off the Grandioso out of Port Canaveral, and my heart is full. We had an amazing time. The food was delicious, the service was warm and genuine, and the crew worked nonstop to make sure everyone was taken care of.
Before we sailed, I read so many reviews from people who were disappointed, and I kept waiting to see what they were talking about. But standing there, surrounded by thousands of people from all walks of life, I realized something. Nothing with this many moving parts will ever be perfect.
But you know what was perfect?
Getting to take this trip with my wife.
Laughing together, relaxing together, making memories we’ll talk about for years . That’s what mattered most. That’s the part that stays with you long after you leave the ship.
Experiences like this remind me how fortunate we are to have the chance to travel and enjoy time like this. A little gratitude changes everything.
I only wish we could do it every year.
Don't waste your money. Carnaval cruise is 10000 times better. We wasted days waiting in line for things that they screwed up on us and we didn't even buy the cheapest cruise. Changed our dinner time they we scheduled a month in acvanced to 930 and we cannot eat that late. They didn't fix it. Charged us for things we didn't even buy or use.
I absolutely adore the Cabins and my Cabin attendant was incredibly dedicated, providing excellent customer service. The food is fantastic, especially at the restaurant. The service from the team was outstanding, and I can't wait to experience it all over again.
I have taken many cruises without any issues, but my experience with this company was entirely different. Their customer service is the worst I have encountered anywhere. I will not choose to cruise with them again, nor will I recommend them to friends or family. They desperately need comprehensive customer service training across all departments, from security personnel to the coffee baristas and room attendants.
Upon arrival, we found a hole under the carpet in our room that posed a tripping hazard for my family. The motor caused vibrations throughout the ship, making it hard to sleep. One of the elevators had a duct-taped partition, and the food quality was reminiscent of military rations (not appealing). The best meals were from a separate taco place that wasn't included. Everything, including pools and hot tubs, closed by midnight, leaving only a small bar available for late-night guests. The only decent included food was at the buffet on the marine reserve, but towels were not provided on the island, requiring us to bring our own. Overall, I was not impressed.
This was the worst cruise experience we've had. The customer service was extremely poor—we arranged for a transfer back to the airport after disembarkation, but after 30 minutes of seeking help from the support team, the transfer desk, and even the terminal staff, none could provide information about the bus. We ended up taking a taxi. Onboard, the food was unappetizing—bland, lacking flavor, and served in tiny portions. The buffet offered the same dishes every day and closed early each time. Many cafes and snack spots also shut down before their scheduled hours, seemingly at the staff's discretion. During dinner, we were made to share a small table with strangers without any explanation, even though there were plenty of empty tables around. It was uncomfortable and awkward, while other couples enjoyed their privacy. The ship felt overcrowded, and hygiene standards were lacking. Hand sanitizer wasn’t enforced at the buffet, and smoking was prevalent throughout. We witnessed guests smoking, coughing, and using the restroom without washing their hands, then heading straight to the buffet. It was disgusting, and we both fell ill within 24 hours of boarding. Our cabin needed immediate attention due to a moldy smell from the bathroom drains, making it difficult to sleep. There were limited activities on the ship—just a casino and occasional bingo, with nighttime entertainment consisting of poorly performed 30-minute singing sessions that hardly qualified as shows compared to other cruise lines. Basic toiletries and travel items were unavailable in the onboard stores. I booked a facial at the spa, which was mediocre; the esthetician left me unattended for about 10 minutes twice while she checked her phone to let the face mask dry. Overall, every aspect of this cruise was disappointing, and many passengers were rude. It’s clear why this is labeled a “budget” cruise. We will not sail with this line again.
Decent experience but with some drawbacks.
When comparing this cruise line to others, it’s clear that you get what you pay for, and generally, they offer reasonable value. Without a drinks package, be prepared for a 15% service charge on orders. The buffet has a good variety and decent quality, with long hours. However, the experience in the Main Dining Room was lacking. We were seated with other guests, which wasn’t our choice. Meals were served simultaneously for everyone at the table, and plates were cleared immediately after someone finished. The staff seemed unfamiliar with the Silver Service approach, resulting in a somewhat amateur experience. The quality of the food in the dining room was just adequate, and the presentation could use improvement. On a positive note, most staff were very friendly, and our room was kept clean. The evening shows, except for one, were excellent, and the entertainment team, especially the female singers, performed very well.
