Trains in India are better and cheaper. How dare you charge people so much money per ticket! Unbelievable prices where is the money goes? Private pockets? This service is third world country shocking to think that this country was once upon a time an empire!

I would give no stars if I could. National rail is a national disgrace and every government that lets it continue is a joke. Train delays, train cancellations and a service which has hot worse year on year from Redhill to London for the last ten years. Anyone involved in this travesty should be ashamed.

The new national rail app is totally useless, it's clunky slow and crashes, the functionality of the previous version was far superior. When you click view journey details it often does nothing and when it does it's extremely slow. There's no option to look back on live departures anymore which may seem irrelevant but if you'd already started a journey from somewhere it was useful to quickly get the calling points and times. If you're at a station you can only look from the next 15 minute period forward. It seems more biased to selling tickets than keeping the traveling public informed. Please just sack the person responsible for pre launch testing and give us the old one back, it worked

The new app is useless. It doesnt work properly and it is really difficult to add railcard to it. Does not download to PC So many things wrong with it. Just change it back to the old one which worked fine. Please please listen to your customers. Not disabled friendly
I do not travel on trains very often and when I have done I have found that the trains have usually been on time, modern and well presented. I have always found a seat just with one exception and that was due to a huge fan event and masses of people boarding the train late at night. However, the last time I found that the ticket I bought did not state the particular station which I requested. Worried I might get fined I sought reassurance from a train worker stood at the side of the train but he very assertively and loudly repeatedly refused to answer my question stating that the train was leaving imminently so I had to get onboard or forget it. Seeing as I had bought the ticket and obviously wanted to go I reluctantly backed down but was astonished how a paying customer could be treated in such a way. The train consequently did not depart for at least another five minutes. I was relieved to find the ticket was okay when checked in another rather offhand manner. That unnecessary negative experience will seriously influence whether I choose to travel by train in future and I have not done so since.
