Review Time
I thought was a great website, however have experienced nothing but trouble. Cannot log in either as a new member or as a member. Cannot access the catalogue of gifts you can win. I’ve spent too much time trying, too many emails to their support and wonder why I’m putting all this effort in. Not impressed so far. Advice to others would be: don’t waste your time! Thank you for your message, everything you suggest, I did. Still no luck!
not worth the hassle. initially I thought this would be like any other app where you just scan the receipt and that's it but nop that's not it you still have to scan the entire shopping and then price each item, its too much hassle to earn few points. ALSO, when you don't use the app for a while you will get harassing phone calls with rude staff questioning why you don't use the annoying app. recently I've been getting calls from those people and the 1 time I did answer I got asked multiple times why I'm not using the app and when I answered that I just forget to use it which is true the staff still asked me why I don't use the app, how many times can I give 1 answer, what do those people want an entire book worth of reasons of why I'm not using the app, well here it is, the time it taken to get the receipt in is just a massive hassle and a massive time waister. ALSO I've been trying to delete my account and that's just impossible to do.
Way too invasive. I understand scanning the shopping to get analytics on what people are buying, but you have to put in every bit of information regarding your household. Further to this, the surveys seem absolutely insane. The sort of things they’re asking are absolutely not normal and definitely seem dodgy.
Way to much hassle, and god forbid you dont enter any information They then start ringing and badgering you.If it was just scan the receipt fine, but you then have to rescan every barcode. Revisit every shop frequently And if you dont you get the rude call centre staff giving you grief about why you haven't Honestly do yourself a favour and just dont bother
This is really too much trouble to get involved with. When I get home, I like to unpack my shopping and put it away. Yes, I would be happy to scan the receipt, but I do NOT have the time or patience to re-scan every item on the receipt. There's another problem. You have to enter all the stores you use. For me, this is probably about 12 or so on a regular basis - the main supermarket chains but in various different locations. Can you do a quick search to find these stores ? No. The app tries to do this but fails. In fact the app itself is very unfriendly. I've deleted it. Now it gets worse. I am being pestered on my mobile by Nielsen to tell me I haven't uploaded anything this week. Sorry, you are now blocked. Goodbye.
I am new to NielsenIQ, and after a week I am already considering deleting it! Scanning things in seems simple enough, until you have a multi-buy offer, then you need to get your calculator out to work out exactly how much you saved on that one offer, if you happen to have gone to a shop who doesn't tell you this on your receipt.But my biggest annoyance is with the rewards part. I decided to go and have a look at what was on offer to make sure that it was worth my while, and you have to set up a seperate but linked account with that part, which by the way is a NIGHTMARE to do. Then once on, for almost everything that you click, you have to enter a new one-time passcode. I can understand protecting data etc. but it is beyond excessive! Also, when entering the rewards website in to my laptop browser, I am just met with a white screen and "Hello world" in the top corner... nothing else... and I mean NOTHING. So, had to access on my phone, and the website is FAR from mobile friendly.For a company that has apparently been around for years... I would expect much, much more! I think I will be going back to Shop & Scan, I used to think that having to connect a scanner and submitting barcodes that way was a nuisance, but the whole system is SO much better than NielsenIQ!
Given the amount of work required, e.g. scanning every purchase into the house, and the rudeness of staff I would encourage you to join one of the other panels. They’re inconsistent with points, giving and taking them away willy-nilly, and when you question it staff are rude and aggressive before you’ve even said a word. They come across as unprofessional and unhelpful even when it’s them that have messed up.
