I am amazed at all the negative reviews left on this site for NIQ.

I have been using NielsenIQ for over 10 years in Australia with no issues.

Before we started using the mobile app, we had to use a handheld scanner that had to be kept charged.
It was basic but it worked.

Over the years I have received a new Dyson vacuum, an Apple iPad and over $1,000 of vouchers. The points you receive has dropped in the last few years, so it takes much longer to build up enough points for a decent redemption. It is currently 10 points per week and 40 points per month if you are a 'Super Shopper'.
We used to get a Christmas gift in the post (I miss that!) but now 30 points is added to your account.
I believe the reduction in points is due to a company takeover a few years ago, so they cut costs.

Other than that, it is an easy way to earn points, and scanning is second nature when shopping.
Unfortunately, I have never won a prize draw, and the 20-point surveys are now quite rare.
We used to get one at least once a month.
Now it's every 2 - 3 months.
Having said that, it is still worthwhile especially at Christmas when points come in handy and E-gift cards are sent to your email address as soon as they are ordered so can be used immediately.

I have needed to contact customer services only a few times for small things, but they have always been happy to help.

I have been using this app for a number…

I have been using this app for a number of years now. I had some logging in issues at the start. But was resolved over telephone with helpful support. I’ve had a number of vouchers now. It really is worth doing. I highly recommend.

Absolute scam and nothing else

Absolute scam and nothing else! Took all my details got the link, activated my account. Did a survey they suggested. Did 1 scan. 2 days later couldn’t log in. Error msgs stating I’m no longer part of Neilseniq panel. No reason. No email. No message. Just took my personal info and locked me out.

Issues with the app, cancelled account

Have had issues on and off with the app. It tells me it submits but it hasn’t gone through. Had a few weeks where I had a broken phone so was unable to log. Got a call as they hadn’t had anything for a few weeks, I explained the situation. Got a new phone and redownloaded the app. Started scanning, booked a holiday break, all showing in the app fine and getting the message that they had submitted. Went to do it again and was able to submit (got the message it had submitted) but when I went into my more details it had nothing since October!!! They’ve closed and cancelled my account yet I have been scanning for the last few months with no apparent issue.

I tried to cash in some of my points…

I tried to cash in some of my points for rewards £140 and they keep mucking me about. Never received my rewards and now that I send chasers to find out where my Wagamama vouchers went after diligently scanning my shopping almost every week for 2 years, I get ghosted. This would be very uncool if they don't deliver the vouchers that were promised after scanning for such a long time.

I have been using the scanning panel…

I have been using the scanning panel for 2 years now I have accumulated over £200 in vouchers however I tend to only scan my main food shop each week I've recently started scanning everything and its going up alot quicker

Very poor customer service

Very poor customer service. The staff were rude and unhelpful. I missed submitting for one week and immediately started receiving chasing alerts, which felt unnecessary and stressful. When I contacted customer service to resolve it, I was left waiting for a long time. Overall, a frustrating experience and not user-friendly at all.

Locked out of my account

Adding onto my previous review. I got locked out of my account on the 13th January due to a phone number change. On the 28th January after much back and forth with the customer service team (and leaving a bad review) they told me they had unlocked my account and gave me steps to follow to get back into the app.None of these steps work, I just get an error code - 202602090951554251294On the 2nd February I emailed back informing the team that I'm still unable to access my account. I was told it would have to be referred to the technical team. This was a week ago and I still haven't had any updates and still can't access my account. This issue has been going on for almost a month

Easy to use rewarding app.

I have used this app for years, first of all it started with my daughter, with the hand held scanner, she then got married and moved away so I opened my own account and it's brilliant. I downloaded the app onto my phone and it's so easy to scan all items I buy, anywhere I buy them. It's second nature now to do this scanning and the rewards are fair. I tend to save up my points throughout the year and around xmas time I convert the points into vouchers to do my xmas shopping. It really takes the expense down a lot. When I order the vouchers they come through really quickly and within minutes they are ready to spend. What's not to like for a minute or 2 of your time every time you shop?
