Niza Cars, Malaga.
No way would I use Niza again, the price turned out far more expensive, they want 320 euros for the slightest scratch on a wheel, the car was not what we ordered, they actually take a very large deposit and then you have to hope that you get it back, there is no condition check when the vehicles leaves but a serious one when it returns, it took over an hour waiting before we got our car, the interior of the windows were filthy, absolutely awful experience, never again.

not bad but not the best

Because of an unknown reason I got the rental agreement only after returning the vehicle , which is at least odd because I didn't have any documents from the rental company during the time I was using their vehicle. Furthermore I was additionally charged the price of a full tank just because the tank was a little bit bellow full.Other than that the staff was polite and the car was almost new and very clean.

Low initial price - Hi price as you will be accused of damages

In November 2024, I rented a car from Niza Cars together with some friends. That time everything went smoothly: friendly staff, no issues at all. Five stars. Because of that good experience, I chose to rent from them again during my most recent trip to Malaga in late January / early February 2026. Unfortunately, this time it was a complete disaster. The problems started already when picking up the car. I was told that the insurance I had purchased online was basically useless and that I had to buy multiple expensive add-ons to be “properly insured.” The whole interaction felt like aggressive upselling rather than honest advice. I decided not to buy the extra insurance. When returning the car, the situation became much worse. A very rude and unpleasant woman came out to inspect the vehicle, and it was immediately obvious that she was looking for problems. She claimed that I had caused several so-called damages to the car — extremely small marks that I never noticed. The car was collected in the dark, so there was no realistic chance of spotting these tiny imperfections at pickup, and even my photos cannot clearly show them because they are so insignificant.Despite this, Niza Cars demanded almost 600 euros for these minimal, almost laughable “damages.” This is completely unreasonable and feels like a punishment for not buying their overpriced insurance. My clear impression is that Niza Cars operates a business model where they: • pressure customers into buying unnecessary insurance • and if you refuse, they search for microscopic “damages” at return and charge outrageous amountsThis experience completely disqualifies Niza Cars as a rental company in my eyes. I will never rent from them again and I strongly advise others to stay away.Shame on you, Niza Cars. And pls do not answer this review by recommending me to turn to your so-called "customer service" - why would I choose to get even more upset?

Unable to pay for security deposit due to THEIR system blocking large charges

I had rented from this company previously without any issues. Today, I went to pick up a car and their system could not process the temporary hold of 1400€ for the deposit for the car. Even before they tried to charge my card, the lady said that they were having trouble with payments. The insisted that it was the fault of my credit card which I know for a fact it was not. I even called my credit card company in the moment and they had no record of any charge attempts, and I have ample credit limit. I even tried a different card. It was not my card, I'm 100% sure.My theory is that they intentionally don't allow the payment to go through so you are forced to take out an insurance policy with them. I did not. I left without the car, even though I had paid for it in advance with a third party provider.I heard them talking in Spanish thinking that I could not understand and they are up to something. They know what they are doing. I guess 8 times out of 10, the customer is forced to pay up in order to take the car. I have rented from every car company around the Malaga airport, and this is the first time that I have seen this scam. It makes sense that they would try something like this because the car rental was extremely cheap. I guess beware if you are planning to try to use your own insurance and leave the large hold on your card. They may intentionally not allow the payment to go through. I will be requesting the "hoja de reclamacion" for the inconvenience. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this as it just wastes people's time.

Interesting business model

Interesting business model. The reviews on Trustpilot seem to be more consistently bad than on Google. Perhaps Nizacar have paid for positive reviews on Google. Anyway, in line with the 1-star reveiews on Trustpilot, the "business model" of this "company" appears to be as follows:1. Offer silly prices of around 1-3 euros per day for car hire to draw customers in.2. Deliberately deceive the customer during collection process by falsely claiming there is no insurance for the car, thereby convincing the customer to pay for an unnecessary reduction in the excess on the fully comprehensive insurance policy Nizacars are legally obliged to provide with the booking. This excess reduction cover increases the booking price by several 1000%, and is what allows Nizacars to make a profit.3. Asking for the customer's signature on a small LCD screen, and then fraudulently transposing the customer's signature to any/all other documents containing additional terms the customer is unaware of.4. Only providing a copy of the fraudulently created documents with the transposed copy of the customer's signature, including a "damage report", at the END OF HIRE, rather than at the start.5. Refusing to carry out damage inspects either at the start of, or the end of hire.6. If the customer declined the additional insurance cover because they're aware that Nizacars are legally obliged to provide insurance on their cars, and weren't taken in by Nizacar's lies that there is no insurance cover, then Nizacars unfortunately feel compelled to resort to outright criminal fraud to make a profit on the booking. In my case this came in the form of charging 90 euros per day for two days additional hire on a VW POlO in November, despite advertising 1.65 euros per day on their website. Obviously, no hire car company in the world charges 90 euros per day for car hire, except for maybe in Dubai for supercars, and so this is was a punitive rate applied purely to make the booking profitable for Nizacars.I obviously made it relatively easy for Nizacars to defraud me by extending my hire, but other customers have reported tactics includinga) Charging for pre-existing damage.b) Actively creating damage after the car was returned.I would also like to draw people's attention to the fact that Nizacars have been accused of causing customers to get arrested by Spanish police after extending their hire. In my case, I spent several days trying to contact Nizacars to extend my hire due to illness, but they only responded after the hire ended, and threatened to report the car stolen in response to my perfect normal request to extend the hire. One would think Nizacars would have a mechanism for extending hires and not default to police involvement...I'm personally finding the whole process rather amusing, because the 190 euros Nizacars have stolen from me is well within my means, but I'm finding the process of disputing the amount with them quite entertaining, and I'm looking forward to making an example of them in the Spanish courts, as well as getting the story into the tabloids in the UK who love writing about this kind of company.

A tale of two companies it felt like.

A tale of two companies it felt like, collection of the car from Barcelona was by far the worst experience of any car rental company I have ever used however the return was the polar opposite. Collection occurred around 10pm on a Sunday evening. The lady was abrupt, rude and threatening stating if we didn't sign the blank signature screen pad she would lock the office and leave us stranded on some industrial estate in Barcelona. She seemed annoyed we didn't have Niza Car insurance and when we said it had been booked as a package through easyJet she said she'd never heard of them. She said to video and take pictures of the car before taking it because if there was any damage on return we're not insured with them. We said it's pitch black out there to which she said use a street light. She wouldn't direct us to the car or leave her office to point out existing damage. We felt like getting back on the plane and going home but did what we could to try and find damage, of which there were a number of scrapes and scratches. We then decided to look at other reviews here and were shocked how poor this company was. For two weeks it loomed over us that we'd be in for a battle on returning the vehicle so when the time came we got to Niza Cars 6 hours before our flight in preparation for being delayed by them over damage we hadn't caused. To our shock and delight the lady checking the car in couldn't have been nicer. Everything was smooth, quick and efficient with no detailed inspection under the car or particularly of the bodywork. A quick check to make sure we'd returned it with a full tank and we were taken into the office to cancel our holding payment without fuss. The minibus driver was polite and friendly and quickly had us back at T2 Barcelona. So very much two sides of the same coin but because the initial contact was so terrible and that feeling loomed over us for two weeks a rating of 2 stars seems right. If collection had been the same as drop off there would have been no complaints and 5 stars. Just luck of the draw it seems. I wouldn't use again based on this experience and what others have said here.

BE AWARE OF NIZA CARE LEASE MALAGA

Please avoid leasing a car from Niza car lease at Malaga airport. My experience was leaving me in a dangerous situation. Oil light was on and strong smell of rubber/ smoke coming out of the front of car.The Car I leased was in my opinion unsafe and when I complained was told to bring the car back to Malaga depot at the airport which was some distance away from my apartment . Having a young baby I was not prepared to take such a risk !!! No offer was made at that point to pick up the vehicle until the last week of my holiday. Finally, having paid for a 3 weeks lease and unable to use the car during my holiday the car was picked up on the second last day of my holiday and I was left to pay 90 Euros for the family to return to the airport and fly home.It completely ruined my family holiday in my opinion this car company are not servicing their cars prior to leasing with a very poor system when complaining .Be AWARE of NIZA CAR LEASE MALAGA

They are scammers

They are scammers. Dont rent from them. Absolute disgrace and very little ability to recover your costs. The rental seems low but when you return the car they manufacture costs and damage. Do not rent from them. Cost me €100’s and I am taking them through Spanish authority but taking time.
