Review Time
I was counting on getting a beautiful handmade teak spoon. What I got could not have been picked from an uglier piece of wood. The bowl of the spoon is made from a tree that had a huge, ugly knot that takes up most of the bowl. I can't return it, as I have already conditioned the wood in the hopes the knot would improve. Instead it just got worse. I'll just use it until I can find a wood spoon I finally like, which has proven to be difficult. I'm just terribly disappointed right now.Edit: I was promptly contacted by NOVICA about my negative review. I was offered either a refund or replacement. Assuming since I conditioned the spoons and they couldn't be returned, I gave the old ones to my mother and ordered new ones. I chose to just wait for the new spoons to see how they looked. I was delighted, of course. I couldn't be happier with the new set. I just wish I could leave pictures, because words couldn't possibly do it justice. The old, hideous spoon must have just been a glitch.
The item I ordered said it was backordered, but I received it very quickly. The bracelet is perfect in every way, beautiful, very comfortable to wear and even prettier than shown in the website. I hope to order other products from this artist.
While ordering on their website, I could not get the promo codes to apply to my order. There are 3 promos listed: $10.00/off $15Off and free shipping listed on the catalog i got in the mail. I called customer service and left my phone#. No call back from them in 3hrs! I will not purchase from NOVICA again!!!
I am delighted with the handmade jewelry I purchased from Novica.com. The quality of the products is exceptional and I love supporting their artisans. I also experienced great customer service when one of my orders was lost. The representative ensured to keep me updated along the way and resolved the issue promptly. I highly recommend Novica for their unique and beautiful handmade products.
First let me say it makes me feel good that I'm buying handmade goods from artistians all over the globe. Everything I've recieved is so beautiful and well made. I recently needed to contact there customer service in which there service team was so friendly very helpful and informative. I will definitely be shopping at this site much more in the near future.
This is my absolute favorite place to buy things for myself and friends/family! I feel good about my purchases knowing I am supporting and not exploiting artisans around the world. They do put a lot of wrapping, but that is expected due to these hand made goods shipping from around the world, but its so amazing and special when friends open their gifts and see the little note they put inside that talks about the artisan or piece. The artisan even usually includes a little hand written thank you card.
Do not buy anything from them because they are overpriced with very cheap quality items. Customer service will never respond and none of the items is shipping from India like they claimed!! Customer service didn't respond me after 5 day until I got angry.I sent the item back.What a joke!
I ordered two items that totaled a little over $206. One of the items was on backorder, which was fine since I liked it and didn't mind waiting. The next day I get an email saying they weren't able to authorize a charge for one of the items (and that were both were actually in stock). I used affirm, which I like because you can set the card balance to just cover your purchase price. I noticed I also had an email from Affirm stating that total of $293 in charges were attempted which was more than the balance I set on my card. They also stated that the merchant (Novica) successfully processed the full transaction price of my purchase ($206 for both items). So I send screen shots and ask why they were attempting to charge me an additional $87. No reply, even though in their email they ask that you reply to their email to make arrangements. So I send multiple emails and don't get a response. I submit a bad review on Google and BAM within hours get a reply from someone saying they charged $119 but when they attempted to charge the remaining $87 it was declined. I attach the screen shots showing NO they ran through the full amount of the purchase for BOTH items ($206), and THEN tried to charge me twice for one of the items (the additional $87 that was declined) and asked if both items will be shipped since they were paid in full. Again, no reply. This absolutely blows my mind that their customer service is so bad they feel entitled to rip people off and offer NO explanation or acknowledgement of THEIR mistake. I have documentation showing they were paid in full for BOTH items. Their attempt to charge the additional $87 was denied because it was a duplicate charge for one of the items. Both items were actually in stock but as of today only one has shipped. If I don't receive both items I paid for and have to dispute the charges I will be pissed. You aren't keeping my money because your employees can't be bothered to do the minimum level of customer service by researching and responding to an obvious mistake THEY MADE. Stay away from this company unless you're ok with being ripped off and ignored.
