Stuart was amazing went the extra mile for me and helped me and suggested a WiFi booster for my house as he recognised the thickness of the walls might be blocking the signal
I have a big issue with the new fibre installed. Before, the old router was upstairs, roughly in the middle of the house and covered the whole house. The engineer, who came to install the new router, told that he cannot put it in the same place where the old one was. He said that scaffolds our neighbours set up were getting in the way. The engineer suggested that he installs the new router downstairs, in the front room. He assured me that the whole house would be covered with this position of the router. However, after the installation I completely lost WiFi in my bedroom upstairs. The router does not cover this bedroom, unlike what the engineer promised. As a result of this new installation, I do not have WiFi in my room any more. I think the idea of installation was to improve the quality of internet for customers, not to make it worse. This problem should be fixed.
At the second attempt on the 11th of Feb the installation was carried out, No consolation on position of where it would be installed to my property with my wife She phoned to say it was because installed I asked to speak to your engineer as he had installed it in a position to the rear of my property. That was no where near my TV or a power point that is required for my Sky installation He told me that the Sky engineer would put the cable under my floor or over the top of the roof to get to the required position This turned out to be untrue
When the Sky engineer arrived I was informed they do not installed the cable under the floor as are not allowed to lift anyone's carpets or floors Also they do not put the cable over the roof And sadly for your organisation this isn't the first time they have heard this miss information
Poor service by yourselves
The engineer was friendly, helpful and offered constructive answers to my questions. Once a route for the Fibre was agreed he worked efficiently and conscientiously with the minimum of disruption.
The technician explained how things had gone wrong then very quickly corrected the fault and then was kind enough to make sure my broadband and tv coverage were working before he left
Really good engineer. Took me through the options of where the new fibre cables could enter the house. Polite and tidy when working. All set up by Sky. We didn't have to do anything but be home for the day.
Terrible installation experience
Rude staff
It’s been 2 days I still go no broadband
Phone to ask why they said engineer has to come out. An engineer was here for installation so what’s gone wrong ?
Do yourself a favour and pay for quality
I had a great experience with the Openreach team who installed my fibre connection today.
Initially, an engineer came to assess the work and explained that they might need to return another day because the cable had to be extended from the street to the house. However, about 30 minutes later, he returned together with his manager and they completed the entire job in less than half an hour.
The work looked complex and I expected it to take hours, but they handled everything quickly and professionally. They were polite, friendly, and explained everything clearly.
I’m very pleased with the installation and the super-fast connection I have now. Excellent service ..thank you!
Brandon carried out a problem solving exercise to discover the root of the problem. Having done so, Brandon then worked very hard in very difficult weather conditions to complete the task. After which he checked everything was working. He was prompt, highly efficient, polite, explained what he was doing, giving reasons, a good communicator and very personable.
