Review Time
DO NOT TRUST I ordered bean seeds on the18th of March, sounded like exactly what my family needed, tasty and perfect for preserving, and I waited and waited. Every day I got emails about buying something else new and exciting, still no beans, no updates, nothing. Finally after almost I month I contacted them ... due to high volume it may take a week to get back to me. Finally hear back, and behold my beans have just shipped (now my cc hasn't been charged mind you, but trust them they shipped) and oh by the way the way we shipped them there is no way to track them, if they don't show up, now the 23rd of April, let them know. The 23rd comes and goes, and surprise now beans, contact ParkSeed again to let them know ... [we] apologize for the inconvenience but that item is now Sold Out for the season ... aka better luck next time, and oh by the way you won't have fresh/canned beans to feed your family this year. The real kicker is 2 days later I get an email about how they are "commitment to quality and our customers". I guess I didn't make that list. Thank goodness as my faith in receiving these seeds dwindled, I bought backups from Burpee. Ordered on April 6th and two weeks later was holding seeds in my hand. Yes it cost me a few dollars more, but its a small price to pay to have a reliable source to feed my family.I am posting my review here, because low and behold, after a few dozen times trying to post my review on the Parkseed website, my one star review magically doesn't work, although a brand new 5 star review from another customer somehow appears.
I ordered my seeds and it's been over a month and still no seeds. Been following up with a series of emails but they just give me the run around. Said I wasn't charged but was charged on the day I ordered them. Now some of my order isn't available. Highly doubt I'll get a refund. I've used them in the past but no longer.
Delivery is sloooooow! Is order being subtracted out for bids? Who knows how long delivery time itself will be. "Packaging time" needed to put together 10 packs of seed prior to shipping is terrible. Order a year ahead if plan to have in time for planting season. Forget all those 15% off promotions and $2.99 shipping enticements. Not worth it. They do not respond to inquiries either.No idea about germination since I'm still waiting for delivery.
Last year I ordered and received sweet potatoes that were wilted and starting to rot. There was a note that said to not worry about the way they looked so I planted them. They did not grow. This year I ordered seeds and received some but all the lettuce was missing. Emailed twice tried to call with no response. Done with this company. - After this review I received a nice reply from Park Seeds. It appears the lettuce was out of stock and I will now receive a refund. Too bad I can't get the seed but I am pleased with the quick response and refund.
Customer service is non-existent. They refuse to respond to email messages and they ignore the content of those messages. I have been a long time customer, but no more.Now I get a response from Eric who wants me to reply to info@parkseed. I did that for 2 weeks. I will not play that game any longer. Hey, Eric: If you want to make this right, just fire all of your customer service reps and start over!
Customer Service is Terrible! I placed an order on 4/9/2020 for several packages of seeds. I understand there may be a slight delay with the current virus situation. After placing three emails, two chat requests and never receiving any response what so ever I tried calling. First call on 4/30 I was told it was shipped on on the 28th and should be receiving. However, it is now 5/5/2020 and after calling again I was told my seeds shipped and I should have them in the next 12 business days. Six weeks to get seeds is absolutely ridiculous. I found the customer service very condescending. My family ordered from Jackson Perkins for years, we are done!
Ordered a bunch of seeds on April 14. Had not heard from them about shipment after 3 weeks. Called them and they said they are waiting for back ordered seeds. I asked them to please send whatever is available asap. That was a week ago. Still has not shipped. Very bad communication.
