DON’T DO IT!

On Friday, June 13, I placed an order for a simple $11 tensioner spring for my lawn mower. Since I needed it ASAP I paid $13 (more than the cost of the part) for 2-3 day shipping. On Saturday, June 14, I received notice the part had “shipped” at 9.29am. Having been an e-commerce seller myself I knew to check to see if it really had been shipped or if it was simply a shipping label had been created. It turns out only the label was created and the product was not physically given to the shipper until the AFTERNOON of June 16. According to tracking, the delivery date is scheduled for June 19 - if it even arrives then. It now June 18 @ 3pm and the item is “on its way to NC”, I am in VA. This could have been shipped cheaper and sooner (even factoring in weekends) had it been shipped through USPS. I also could have gotten it much cheaper through Amazon but the delivery date was the June 19 and I needed it sooner so I made the costly mistake of buying from Parts Select and paying extra for fast shipping only to still MAYBE get it June 19 anyway. At this point I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t show up tomorrow either. Never Again!!UPDATE: I finally received the part and it was the wrong part. After receiving a response to my initial Trust Pilot review, I contacted Part Select expecting a quick and easy resolution. Nothing could be further from the truth! First, when you call the number you are given a series of prompts to select the reason for your call. Since wrong item is not a choice, the closest reason was to select you were calling about an existing order already placed. When I selected that, I received another recorded message saying “due to high call volume the couldn’t take my call” and then they hang up. Are you kidding me? Since they had my money, you would expect a choice of hearing the average wait time is or we will call you back in the order your call was received. So, I called back and selected the “I want to place an order” prompt. That call was answered immediately. So obviously after they get your money, you are no longer important and they don’t want to deal with you. I spoke to Pierre. I told him I received the wrong part and paid more for 2-3 day shipping than the cost of the part and still did not receive it until 6 days later - counting the weekend. I placed the order on a Friday evening and did not receive it until 4:10pm on a Thursday afternoon. Pierre proceeded to make excuses that I did not order until late Friday and 2-3 days doesn’t include weekends. Okay that’s fine but it’s still late. And, even though they don’t count weekends, they managed to print a shipping label on a Saturday and notify me it had been shipped when it really hadn’t. FedEx did not receive it until after 1:00pm Monday. Pierre said he could “still help me”. Gee thanks and thinks for implying it’s kinda my fault and you are being so kind. Pierre then wanted to know what the model number of my mower was? He wanted to know if I had the valuable $11 part. I said I’d have to look, it may be in my car. He said “That’s okay, I’ll wait”. I found his tone to be irritatingly condescending. After I came back with it he then wanted to know if I had the mailing envelope? I said I’ll have to look. He again said, “That’s okay, I’ll wait.” After I found that, he wanted to know if I had the,( I believe), serial number? This was beginning to be a scavenger hunt. I told him I had everything THEY sent ME. Pierre then wanted pictures of all the items. I told him I would send him a picture of everything they sent me, including a picture of their part next to the correct part that I needed replaced that broke. He said after he received the pictures he would forward it to their claims/warranty department. This call - not including the time spent on the first call listening to prompts and “sorry we can’t take you call” messages, was 16 minutes. After I sent all the pictures I received ANOTHER email from the claims department wanting more pictures! Mind you, this is all for an $11 part! They also wanted the serial number of my mower. I told them I had managed to go to a ATV supply store and simply give them my mower model number and not only did they quickly produce the correct part, it was cheaper than the their part AND it was a genuine Husqvarna part rather than an aftermarket part.Parts Select told me after they received the pics they would “conduct an investigation” to decide what to do and to keep the worthless part for 30 days because they might want it back. I replied to them I’d send more pics and if they wanted their part back they needed to pay for the shipping and if I didn’t get my refund of the part & shipping costs, I would be filing a complaint with the BBB and updating my Trust Pilot review. Today I received notice my money was refunded so I will not be filing a BBB complaint but I feel buyers should be aware of how difficult it will be if the wrong part is sent.

The washing machine motor was simple to install, after I watched the video that you offered. The motor was here so quickly too!! My old motor quit just as a full load of water was in the tub. The video explained how to change out the motor without even draining the tub!!

Received false shipping information and cannot reach anyone at this company.

I ordered a defrost heater for my refrigerator and really needed to get it in as soon as possible. I received an email 3 days after the purchase saying it had shipped and giving me a FEDEX tracking number. I have received no further information - only that a shipping label was created a week ago. According to FEDEX today, they have received nothing from the shipper. In other words, the shipping notification is completely false. I have tried to call the company twice. If you try to reach an agent, the automated reply says no one is available and hung up on me. I called back and pressed option 2 to cancel the order so that I can purchase it elsewhere. The automated response is that it cannot be canceled because it has shipped. This is a lie. FEDEX says they have received nothing from Parts Select - only that a label was created a week ago. I need this part urgently. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Sears Canada Eh? Too Funny!

Was told the product I needed had to be ordered from Sears Canada. Was given a phone number for Sears Canada. Sears Canada ceased to exist 7 years ago. Truly appreciate the help. NOT!

I was looking for rear lug nuts for my craftsman z510 zero turn mower. I search everywhere with no avail. I've dealt with this company before and gave them a try. They had my parts with a little research and shipped them as I needed. It was nice they had parts that seem outdated to most places and will definitely order from them again if need be. Thanks Part Select. Dana G.
