Basically no way to pay out to your bank account (as a creator) if you are not in the US. The only option for me in Australia was Payoneer and Payoneer can't even do what its supposed to do, and states that I need a minimum amount to transfer (but does not state what that amount is anywhere on their website). Now I have the entirety of my earnings (32 USD) lost, and I was only using Patreon for a temporary task so there is zero chance of retrieving that money. Seems quite illegal.
I purchased Patreon, not as a creator, but as a person to see content creators. I realized immediately that it was not the right platform for me. Within an hour I asked for a refund and they said they needed all sorts of information from me even though I provided it in my original request. I am still waiting for the refund. They make the process difficult so they can keep your money. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Just DONT. They continues to take money from your account then when I emailed to cancel, they asked me complex questions and still refused to cancel. Had to search online how to cancel. It’s an app isn’t great on searching and it doesn’t play episode in chronological order so if you are just listening it plays the next random episode. Not every episode is easily found. Better off just forking out and joining audible
I have never created a patreon account nor intended to - and yet I now find myself getting spammed with emails from patreon as this company will allow anyone to sign up using your email and join pages WITHOUT VERIFYING that email address - so now some crypto scammers have made an account with my email and signed op for various pages and use those pages to have emails with links to phishing sites delivered right in my gmail inbox through patreon. Beware of crypto scammers using this! Untill patreon adresses this issue I'd strongly suggest adding all patreon email adresses to your spam-filter to avoid accidentally clicked a link to a phishing site.
What a nightmare, I have tried endlessly to have my personal details removed from patreon to no avail.Something seriously wrong with this organisation. They are open to cyber attacks which leaves you vulnerable. I wish to God I didn't sign up to these bunch of snollygosters.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY THEY WILL SCAM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT - I accidentally signed onto this service - for the no charge information and realised they have been charging my card monthly over £20 - I wrote to the company asking them to stop as there is no way for me to remove the subscription online - and they have refused. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM - DO NOT GO NEAR PATREON !!
Insane fees, and almost inexistent customer support. Also the variety of payout methods are too limited such as the inability to withdraw funds directly to your bank account, instead you always have to go through a third party (Paypal or Payoneer only) which means even more fees
Have been subscribed to a Creator since August. Suddenly, just before Christmas, I lost access to a large amount of her content. I have been emailing with support for 2 weeks now. They have not fixed problem... just keep asking stupider and stupider questions! Funny how they don't have any technical issues when it comes to taking my money😡
