Have received hundreds of passive aggressive emails to 'recover my account' or face deletion, which went on for ages. I eventually tried to log in just to discover they're running a malicious strategy to hold any potential photos hostage unless you agree to pay them. Nothing about this need for payment is mentioned in ANY of their constant emails. Moreover, before I could even try access my photos/the page that told me I had to put my card details in, I had to agree to a new policy regarding their use of all of my biometric data to be used and sold by their company. Overall disgraceful customer and email management. I hardly remember using this website service, and when i eventually got my photos I found it was 2 jpgs i had used on their service. Ridiculous.
Like other people, I have been inundated with emails for years about recovering my account. I wanted to see if I could, in fact, recover a folder with great sentimental value, paid the quoted $5.00 via credit card, and have not been given access to ANYTHING. I am stuck on a page where my only options are to log out, delete my account or pay a yearly subscription. Goodbye lovely photos.

Just one massive scam. Have been pestered for months and months via email to get my account back and save my old photos that I haven't seen in probably well over a decade.Today I finally decided to go into my account, recover my photos and delete photobucket. Instead I was told I need to pay $5 for access to my account and it's just one massive pay wall. Account deleted and I hope photobucket themselves disappear soon. Literally just a huge phishing scam going on.
I've had photobucket since I was like 14, in 2004. I did forget about it. But now a days, I get an email almost every day asking if I want to restore my old photos. So when I went to do that, I found out I had to PAY THEM!! Seriously?! For images that have been on the site for like 20 years at this point, you want me to pay you to see them again?! I would have happily saved all my photos to a current computer and deleted the account, but now they're not getting a dime from me. Nothing but a bunch of crooks!! You'd think I'd be grandfathered in or something, but noooo.
I went to get a subscription to retrieve old photos and then deactivated it the same day. They said there is no record of me stopping the subscription. Then said they charged a fee to upgrade the subscription which I did not do. Then they refused to refund me talking about I only had 48 hours after they took the money to request a refund. Then I tried to delete my entire account and of course there is a website error. I want my info off of their account ASAP.
