Review Time
We attended Clip and climb this morning, both my children aged 7 and 10 loved it… my 7 year old has a bit of a fear of heights, but insisted on giving it a go, and I wanted to give a massive thank you to Josh for being so kind and caring with him, after talking with Josh he got to the top multiple times! Thank you Josh, you’re a super star!! ⭐
It was all going fine until about half way through my session an alarm went off I was ok with it the first time but then it happened again and that time it really put me off swimming and all I wanted to do was stand in the water the date was 01/08/25 2-3:30Edit: this was at the Wolverhampton poolI might visit again
I am a fairly new member to the centre ( Norwich Riverside centre) and I didn’t have a good experience the staff seem to distracted and not really in the mood to provide a good experience , there was no gym tour or guidance given unless I asked, my 11 year old was with me and they never told us what are the do’s or don’t’s , I needed to ask for each and every thing nothing was informed without us asking, a bit of help in the first few days especially to new gym members who are inexperienced would be really helpful
I had an encounter with another gym member which left me in a bit of a shock;They grabbed a bar clip that I was using at the time but did not have on the bar in that moment, and so I gently got his attention and told him that I am still using the clip. To that he gave me an aggressive look and snapped back with 'Well it's not on the bar is it, so you don't need it'. I told him it is fine and defused the conversation because I noticed that if I pushed back anymore (than a constructive polite nudge), then his demeanour would have escalated the situation.I then noticed he was really bashing the weights around and kicking attachments and weight plates everywhere, without a single care for the gym equipment (which is shared between the members), making an absolute racket as well as potentially causing slight unnecessary damage to the equipment in use at the time.After moving on I carried out the rest of my workout but I had to really think to myself the value I am paying for my gym membership, and how this experience has not made me think of the gym as less of a friendly place that is kind to your average person looking to keep active in their spare time.Because of this experience, I am thinking of seriously moving to another gym because in previous gyms I have been to, others members have always been so kind and polite and that is the kind of community that I want to be a part of as we all explore our personal journeys for physical and mental growth.FYI, I can give more specific details on what time this happened and where exactly it occurred in the gym but I don't want to have anymore conflict/interaction with that member, but I just thought I would leave this review because I found it to be a poor reflection on Eclipse's reputation and the kind of members they take on.
I'm absolutely disgusted at the wait time for the phones to be answered, I'm simply calling to find out if my child's class is on as it's been cancelled for the past 3 weeks, I'm unable to hang up as we drive from far away to do this particular class and to turn up and it not be available would be irritating! It's been over half an hour at this point and it was 25 mins last week when I called, god forbid this was an emergency!!!
The staff at wentworth leisure centre are really great and always helpful. However the last week when I went to the pool I was disappointed the changing rooms were dirty and the white pool edge was filthy. If I'd seen it before I went in to swim I would not have gone into the water
I’m a regular body pumper and over the last few weeks we’ve had a lot of cover instructors. Most have been brilliant like Valerie and I think her name is Mandy? Even Ross has jumped in too for a warm up before the instructor turned up.Today Craig covered pump and it was fantastic. Craig immediately gets on with the session and is very good with instructions and directions of the correct weights and techniques. He was constantly encouraging and always keeps the sessions challenging, professional yet enjoyable. It was an hour long but felt like 45 mins because it was so good. His stretching/cool down at the end is thorough and I came away knowing I’m not going to ache in the morning unlike in the past with other instructors cool downs. Massive shout out to Craig. There is a nice vibe to Sunbury Places!
