Not worth your money!

For a top tier membership at £68 your better off finding another gym. Often services are out of order or gym equipment not work. I went the other day 1 yr after refurb and there was water pouring in the roof. Facilities have been reduced and there are no changing rooms or showers for gym users unless you pay the extra £10pcm for the spa usage. There a kids gym session but kids can't use the showers and changing rooms. Also shuts early compared to other gyms. Really not worth the money at Xcel in Walton

Consistent failure to provide the full extent of facilities paid for in membership. Poor class booking experience and health suite facilities out of order for long periods of time.

I am a member at Sunbury Leisure Centre…

I am a member at Sunbury Leisure Centre and in the last 6 months there have been many swim sessions cancelled or 2 sessions made into 1 at short notice. This follows a hike in membership during this same period. In my experience the centre has gone downhill since Places Leisure took over.

Great place to work out

Great place for your fitness journey at any age. Everyone there will help you and with good clean facilities you can't go wrong.

I love being at the centre

I love being at the centre. All the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. I love that as a full member I can just drop into swimming lanes sessions when I like, and open access to the gym is very handy.

Wisewood Sports Centre

After suffering a severe knee injury that kept me out of action for over two years, I joined this gym very apprehensively. I was nervous, unsure of what I’d be able to do, and honestly quite intimidated—especially by the weights area! But from day one, the staff were incredibly welcoming, understanding, and supportive. They took the time to create a personalised programme that worked with my limitations and helped me build back strength safely and gradually. Their encouragement and expertise gave me the confidence to try things I never thought I’d be able to do again.Fast forward 15 months, and I’ve lost 15kg—but more importantly, I feel strong, healthy, and confident in my body again. My knee has improved massively, and I no longer feel defined by my injury. The gym has become a space where I feel empowered, not judged. If you’re nervous about getting started or returning to exercise after injury, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s more than a gym—it’s a supportive community that genuinely cares.

Places Leisure in Camberley

Places Leisure in Camberley. Quite ridiculous really. Last 2 weeks, turn up for 2 adult PAYG swims (1 registered account, 1 guest) paid in 1 transaction. This week, no you can’t do that. You both have to have accounts and you both have to pay individually in separate transactions. What rubbish!!!! There is no way a family of 4 would have to pay 4 different transactions. Sort it out Camberley….
