I had a polar v800 for several years. I stuck with it because of the promise of integration with the hero camera - this never materialised! The watch strap broke and Polar could only supply a spare in a different colour! China came to the rescue with a workable strap. Then finally, it packed up due to rusty components on the inside! (I thought they were supposed to be water resistant) - all I did was take a shower!!! Polar had no comment on my observation. To be fair, the watch was a few years old but I had expected a little more support and more resilience from a top of the range model. It was anyway proving difficult to sync with the chest strap. I’ve moved on now! I will say that the web based polarflow was quite impressive and the relive function was fun and could be posted to Facebook but I’m afraid the product quality and support was not there.
Absolute rubbish. I have been going back and forth for months with notifications not syncing and them telling me to do a factory reset and treating me like an idiot. I sent it off to be repaired and they sent me another device back and there was nothing on the service sheet to tell me this or what they had actually done. The device they sent was clearly not a new one either. So then I had two devices on my Bluetooth. I have asked for a refund and they are saying I can't have one because you can only have your money back after 14 days of having the watch! Their policy is to keep repairing or replacing the watch. Absolute joke and a disgrace of a company. I think they ought to be shut down as they are no better than scammers. Taking peoples money and then refusing to refund them when their product is a load of crap! Really annoying.
I recently bought a polar ignite 2, after 10 days I had problems with charging being recorded as sleep, and had two hours charge time. I emailed customer service and they did reply quickly. I presumed they would send me out a replacement if a factory settings restart didn’t help, and after checking warranty details it seemed like if something is faulty it should be replaced if within a Couple of weeks. Apparently not the case, as it was used. I’m not sure how you can tell if somethings defective if you don’t use it. They want you to send it to be assessed but can take 10 days to process. Having it a little over a week and sending it off for 2 week turnaround already seemed strange, and was trying to keep a strict training log. Using it until I get too annoyed , partly as a lesson to myself for not looking at trust pilot before purchase!
