Review Time
I used Praxis couple of time buying some stuff like lamps or paints. The experience was relatively positive till January 2022.2022/01/26:I ordered 2 lamps and six bulbs on 6th January 2022, one week later I received the package with only one lamp and all the bulbs. Since then I sent them several messages. On 21st I got information that they will check magazine. Since then: again nothing. I don't understand what is happening to this company.2024/03-09:Several good experiences with customer service and different shops
I had gone to the Praxis in my home town. Staff was nice, not really helpful, but nice. I had found the product(shelving unit) that i was looking for, but unfortunately it was way too heavy to take home with me on a bike. The product itself was not that expensive(€37 on sale) so i figured it would be smarter to order it online. After all they would deliver it to your door right? Well, that is not the case.Praxis used DPD Group to deliver the parcel, when it was supposed to be delivered, i took a day off of work, so i could personally be there to receive it. DPD send me a track and trace code with a nice feature that tracks how many stops there are left till they get to my location. So when there was one stop left, i just kept on refreshing the tracking page. Then when there were zero stops left, i rushed downstairs(i live on the 8th floor) and waited at the entrance of our building for them to arrive. And i waited and waited....until out of the blue i received a message. WE WERE UNABLE TO DELIVER YOUR PARCEL.At that moment i knew that they just didn't care to try to deliver it. So i filed a complaint with DPD, but that's not where it ends. They delivered it to a Pick Up Point 2 miles away, Im a total stranger where i live, i don't know anybody with a car here. So I went walking. Walked to 2 miles to the pick up point, picked up the 30 pound parcel and started walking back. Two lessons to take from this:1. Check in with Praxis before ordering online, to see which company for shipping. 2. If they use DPD, cancel your order immediately.
Seen that Praxis ad the one with the professional smiling Helpful Staff.Well it's not the reality. Praxis westerpark Amsterdam 13th September..First I saw a poor woman given the brush of by two staff a third did stop after 20mins . Only rather than advice she sort. Gave her a lecture that it was a busy delivery day and therefore she should go away. I have multiple sclerosis. And use two sticks to walk . I was there to buy large composite wall tiles in heavy packs .Despite several requests for help to staff to load them in the trolly. I had no help till a fellow shopper helped me.And a expensive shower fitting. At the service desk I discovered I had left my phone at home I asked if the could call a taxi . The miserable women grunted something and the asked a grumpy looking rainbow colored hair teen on the checkout . Who told me to do it myself .I left everything apparently rather than make a quick call to help a disabled person . They preferred to lose over 500 euro sale in a fairly empty store.
I ordered an item which was supposed to be delivered the next day but it took them 2 extra days to deliver it.Horrible service, I would never order anything from them again.If you say something to your customer then stand by your commitment, don't waste others' time.
I am a regular of Praxis, however, this means I am also regularly a victim of their poor customer service. During lockdown their click and collect was an absolute shambles, I would purchase items to them go to the store and have to wait 40+ mins for them to say they didnt have the items in store and a refund would be issued (happened more than once). I always check their website to ensure that they have items in stock before I go to the store, I go to the store and there are is NO stock, this happened today. The staff in store are either polite or completely ignore you.
Worst service ever. I ordered a product and the brand was VidaXL. But it is the worst product ever and it was pricey 229 euro. When we got back to Praxis they said they are not responsible because the brand is different. Please do not shop from this store. There is gamma, there is hornbach much better services. I contacted VIdaXL but also no solution. my 229 went to garbage. we went to also Praxis store, there was a guy and he said he will help he gave us his email. I sent him an email and guess what he said they are not responsible. Worst stores ever: Praxis and VidaXL.
I purchased laminaat and other things for more than 1500 euros online. First the order was delayed for more than a week. Then on the day of delivery 30 minutes before the end of the time window I was given, I checked again and delivery was moved to following day when I wasn't home. Called Customer Service "It's not us,its the transport company"...I didn't buy anything from any transport company. If anything goes wrong, it's your job to sort it out. Called the transport company (after 1 hour on the phone)-they said the reason for the delay was Praxis didn't deliver them the products. Finally they delivered me the producs...1 of the boxes of laminaat was damaged, 2 products were missing. Followed over 6 phone calls to Customer Service and the transport company and several emails (both were shifting the responsibility to the other). Still pending for a refund after 2 weeks. Went to the shop to return a few items that were part of the order. Shop doesnt want to them as they were ordered online and I don't have the invoice (which was never sent to me). Again had to call CS for them to send me the invoice...have to wait for an hour. FOR AN EMAIL! Unbelievable ccustomer service. Never buying anything from them again. Go to Gamma instead.
Unfortunately you cannot give 0 stars. I placed a EUR500 order online (for home delivery) on 19 January. I have emailed and called with their customer service every few weeks since placing the order and can neither get the material delivered nor get a refund. While the customer service people are friendly, the organization is such that they cannot provide any meaningful support. Each time I call, I am told they need to send an email to a colleague or to the shipping company (they do not have phone numbers for either) and that I should hear back in a few days. And if I don’t hear anything? I should call back (and the insanity continues).Save your money (and your mental health) - go to Bauhaus or Hornbach.
