They do not verify the addresses businesses provide are real or that their phone numbers actually connect. When I called them out on this, they refused to provide a refund afterwards and instead sent me pictures of a storefront that in no way resembled the apartment building I was looking at.
I needed to store my baggage for a couple of hours prior to my getting the keys for holiday accommodation and then again for a couple of hours when I was leaving so I didn't have to take them with me for lunch prior to heading to the airport. They could not have been more friendlier and helpful. Highly recommend and so handy right next door to Hampstead Tube Station.
Radical Storage do not check that the locations they offer are actually open. As you are not given the address until you book, it is impossible to check yourself if the place is open. There is no telephone number to contact someone directly. We had a fairly quick response on the chat to suggest another place but it was a long way away and we needed to take a taxi which of course they do not reimburse even if the problem is their fault. I would not take the risk of using the service again.
AVOID RADICAL STORAGE! We reserved storage for our 4 bags and for one day so we could spend our last day in DC after checking out of our apartment (we paid online and in advance). Our experience with radical storage was indeed quite “radical”: We showed up with our bags at the “storage” place, which appeared to be a popup weed store near Chinatown. The kid working there would not take our bags, unless we paid him some cash. He said he did not care about our online payment and told us the agreement between radical storage and that store was not in place anymore. We left, booked another storage company and walked our bags a few blocks to the new arranged location: a reputable hotel downtown. Only positive point: Radical storage was quick to answer and to agree to a refund. There are many companies offering storage for your bags. AVOID RADICAL STORAGE!
I booked one slot for the luggage storage in Riga. The website said it’s a restaurant. When I arrived there, the restaurant said no they don’t do that, it’s a mistake. I chat with the customer service but they’re not helpful at all. They asked for a picture of the restaurant to verify but then they disappeared. They even haven’t seen the picture. And now it’s 20 minutes later, I’m sitting in the cold outside and received no response from them while the staff status is active
