Been a member since 2017. Was better then. Horrible now. Had a credit card when I first opened my account and got a starter $500 limit. Over the years I've tried 3x to get the limit increased/rate lowered with 0 Luck. Ended up closing it. Opened a card with Capitol One and got a $2k limit right off the bat with promo APR. Ive tried 3x to get personal loans from RBFCU for emergency expenses and every time denied. Had to turn to Upstart (I still use even now) that ALWAYS approves me and offers competitive rates. When I financed my Car I didn't even give RBFCU a thought. Just opened an account with a competing bank and got approved & financed in less then a week! Also- RBFCU has plenty of hidden fees. Look for another bank. This one has only gone downhill over the years. I let all 3 of my accounts with them go inactive. They dont deserve my business and dont deserve yours either. Do your research.

Poor customer service, multiple fraud charges

I've experienced fraud with my account 4 times in the last 6 months. The customer service I experience is almost always rude and unprofessional. They will knowingly transfer me to other departments even knowing that the other department is closed. The branch I went into to ask for help gave me a disconnected number to call and told me they wouldn't help me at the branch because it would take too long for them. The last time I received fraud on my credit card, I explained to the lady on the phone, that I never even received my new card in the mail, so any transactions couldn't have been me, since I didn't active the card. She removed one of the three charges I did not make, and then left the other two so now I'm receiving late fees on fraudulent charges I have already complained about. I've been with RBFCU for over ten years at this point and because of the poor service the past year, I have unfortunately decided to completely close my accounts as soon as possible.

I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. As a new member of only 4 months, I have had multiple recent check and direct deposits made into my account. They flagged my account for fraud and didn’t send me ANY NOTIFICATIONS MY ACCOUNT WAS FROZEN OR FLAGGED. No text. No email. No push notification. No call. Nothing. I had to have my card declined and experience panic trying to figure out what is going on with my account. When the online banking experience just kept saying LOCKED with no explanation. Absolutely ridiculous!Because of this unannounced fraud flag, I also did not have access to my online banking. And I still don’t, even though I have confirmed that the activity on my account is all me, the member. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT HERE as it WILL inconvenience you and your family. I will be withdrawing all of my funds and closing my account ASAP. Thank goodness I saw another review on here that says don’t open a business account. Hopefully I will save someone the hassle of dealing with RBFCU.

Horrible Customer Service

Horrible Customer Service. Inactivity fees were charged to not using the account. $5.00 a month for October, November, December in 2025 and then in 2026 they raised it to 2026. I am sooooo upset. They don't understand how to treat a customer or take care of any issues regarding this. Not friendly. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely the worst place to try and…

Absolutely the worst place to try and open a business account. Was in a process for over 2 weeks and they have continued to ask for information that was previously submitted. VERY UNORGANIZED! I only write this to inform anyone thinking about opening a business account to take your business somewhere else or you can try here and waste your time.

Clown Circus act put on by the CEO

Lots of programs like Mortgage, Health, Car Insurance. Investment...all crap Third Party and not in House. Oh sure they may have a portion of one program in-house but not the Majority.Since it is not ran by RBFCU it is a $#!+ show! The Car Insurance program was a lie, employees don't know whats going on, or the Mortgage people are trying to steal your deal or set you up with their on family mortgage or other business. They start a New Phone system on a Friday when its the busiest and it chaotic night mare for the Loan department which was a cluster @#$&. Its just an all around Clown Circus act put on by the CEO!

Just rude

Just rude, snotty, unhelpful, unprofessional tellers, customer service people and on the phone they’re just as rude. Instead of apologizing for the inconveniences they cause, like good customer service, they rude and nasty. Also when I became a member 20 years ago this bank was good. Now it’s just like every other crappy bank. The people act like they’re better than you, like you’re below them.
