I have yet to get an acknowledgment from the seller about this purchase. And the item purchased is still showing as “sale pending” on your website, although my American Express account has been billed (via PayPal). I have written two messages to the seller but no response. Perhaps it is because of the holiday.
Love this vendor and love getting notices of his new listings. The 'buy now' function was a bit confusing. Perhaps I entered the info in the wrong order, but I've received a confirming email and can't really tell if I've paid or payment is due. (I think I've paid!)
The RL fees are just too much, up to $250 per item. Then there are RL shop monthly fees, taxes, shipping and then paypal fees on top take all the profit for sellers and discourage folks from buying.Yes, I see your response but it doesn't change a thing. All those added amounts including $250 for expensive dolls, is ridiculous. Buyers are discouraged and sellers are also discouraged.
I like the quality of the items I have received so far. Most of the sellers do a very good job of describing the items for sale (e.g., material, approximate history and date, any flaws that may be present, and many images of the item, especially when shown on hands, ears, and throats for perspective). Items seemed to have increased in price the last few years, but appear to be more reasonable currently.
I received my order today it is just as represented and at a reasonable price. I had been looking for a unique cigar ashtray and not only found one, but it has a historical provenance which makes it all the more enjoyable.
