If you are a business, DO NOT USE DHL. Your customers will hate you for it. I ordered a gift for a baby shower online, which was delivered to a service point with no pick-up code. So when I tried to claim my package, they couldn't give it to me (because apparently, the service point will be charged if packages aren't signed off properly). After 8 days of conversing with various team members and endless hours on hold, they still couldn't set up a simple pick-up code. If I ever have to hear that god-awful hold music again, I'll headbutt the nearest landmark. I'm still waiting and fear I'll be waiting much, much longer. Meanwhile, my friend's baby remains swaddleless. Think of the children DHL!
Large, heavy item delivered and marked as signed for.
However, they didn’t bother to ring the bell, and I was in, and the item was too heavy for me to bring inside.
I used to think these were better than the likes of Evri, but clearly not.
I am now on my fourth day waiting for my parcel. The driver claimed there was "No access" even though I’ve been home since Friday and no one rang the bell. I paid for delivery, but it feels like my parcel is just being taken on a tour around the city every day. Please resolve this issue and ensure my goods are delivered tomorrow morning!
Terrible service from the depot. EVERY SINGLE DELIVERY attempt has been false. They claim to have "tried to deliver" but no one was present, which feels like a scam. I was literally sitting at the front door, with it open, waiting. Yet, I received an email stating they "tried". Even when I went to the depot to pick up my package, the staff showed little concern. They insisted on seeing PHOTO ID with the company address on it... Really? The managers wouldn't address any complaints, and they seemed completely indifferent. I called the complaints number, which only provided information about the "failed" delivery attempts. It's absolutely ineffective. Update: Another delivery was scheduled for today, between 10am and 8pm. At 6:57pm, I received an email saying they attempted delivery but no one was home. I was STANDING AT THE DOOR... So, I will be visiting the depot manager tomorrow.
DHL transforms what should be a straightforward package delivery into a frustrating ordeal every time. Recently, I attempted to return a parcel to a designated ‘service point’ and had to visit four locations before finding one that was operational. Now, while awaiting a delivery, I selected a nearby service point. I received three notifications indicating the parcel was out for delivery, followed by three more stating there was a delay. When I checked the tracking, it claimed a delivery attempt was made at my service point, but it was closed. It turns out that the store doesn’t accept DHL parcels! I couldn’t redirect it to my home address. This is incredibly frustrating and unhelpful.
I encountered a similar problem as another reviewer. I received a notification indicating my package would be delivered between 11:30 and 13:30. Instead, I got a message stating that my parcel could not be delivered due to no access or no one home to sign, despite a pinned location that is not my address. I double-checked all order details, and my address was correct. I have CCTV at my property, as many do these days, and I was home all day, which is why I scheduled the delivery for today. Tomorrow, however, I will be at work when they now claim they will deliver. It’s quite disappointing that a company would provide misleading information regarding delivery. This seems to be a common issue with this service based on what I see here.
I arranged for a collection for international shipping, expecting them between 4-6pm. However, no one showed up to collect the package. After 6pm, I checked the website and it inexplicably stated that the "parcel was collected." The following day, it claimed the driver would come "today" but without a specific time. I opted to cancel due to the clear lack of reliability. The customer service experience was frustrating. Many of the representatives struggled with English and attempted to redirect my concerns to other departments.
If I could rate lower, I would. I was informed that my parcel would arrive on Saturday, December 20th, but then I received a message saying they couldn't find my address. I reached out twice on Monday, the 22nd and 23rd, but got no response. I called the service on Wednesday, the 24th, and the representative asked if there were any landmarks near my address. Seriously? That's what GPS is for! She mentioned she would try to arrange a delivery, but it’s still not here. I might as well have gone to the store where I bought the item in the first place. This service is absolutely terrible, and I will inform the seller not to use them in the future. I'm so disappointed since the item was meant to be a Christmas gift. 😡😡
Without a doubt, this courier service is the most frustrating in the UK. The drivers seem completely unaware and exhibit a lack of professionalism! They consistently misplace or mishandle parcels, and if they do manage to deliver, it's often damaged. It's baffling why so many companies in the UK choose to rely on this unreliable operation! Customer support is non-responsive, and their tracking system is utterly ineffective. They warrant no stars.
If I could give zero stars, I would! I ordered some gifts from the company, including two wooden wick candles in glass containers and aftershave, also in glass. Thankfully, they were well packed because they were thrown over the back fence, landing upside-down on the path! It was supposedly signed for by someone named Liz—who is that anyway? The driver didn’t even come to the front door; I checked the doorbell camera, and there was nothing! I just don’t understand why they would toss it over the fence without considering the contents! Based on other reviews, I truly can’t comprehend how they’re still operating!
