The cottage was recently renovated and is well equipped and comfortable. We stayed there as a couple but there would be plenty of space for four people. It's a peaceful area and the country lanes are lovely for gentle walks, while Oughterard is just a short drive away. The friendly owners live just next door, which is very convenient. We can highly recommend Rose Cottage.

The cottage is beautiful and quaint, nearly 200 years old, in its own lovely grounds and close to pretty little Knockananna with its welcoming pub and store. Well secluded for those who want to kick back and relax, but close enough to Dublin and a number of great locations if you’re happy to brave the unique Irish roads!
We found a lovely place to stay in Newport, Ireland through Shamrock Cottages. Communication was prompt and efficient and directions and access to the property was easy to follow. The property has a fabulous location and is well equipped and comfortable and we had a fantastic stay.
