With no immediate support and a whole host of Page not found and Something went wrong errors on both Chrome and Edge, I would not trust this site with my money. It looks and feels very poorly implemented and I shall be looking for an alternative. I recommend people do the same.

Beware of this rip off greedy corporate giantWe have 3 stores with Shopify and were begged by their team to opt in to Shopify Payments, which is their own method of permitting Credit Card payment on your Shopify store. We finally resisted the call and opted in. This was the biggest mistake ever made. Shopify failed to pay us our earnings and promised they would be paid within 72 working hours. This took us 5 weeks to recover, and strangely enough, only upon us taking legal action against this corporate greedy pathetic giant. It took us 5 telephone calls, 9 emails to their Support team, and we even attempted to contact the Chairman's team. No service whatsoever, and not a single response from the Chairmans office. There was 1 Shopify member of staff who actually advised us to take whatever steps necessary to recover our funds, which included taking Shopify to Court. Furthermore, he went on to state this was not isolated and other companies were typically waiting up to 2 months to get their funds. How can Shopify justify holding your funds illegally when you are a small business and last year alone their Gross profit grew 61% to $2,481.1 million in 2021, compared with $1,541.5 million for 2020.Adjusted gross profit4 grew 60% to $2,509.2 million in 2021, compared with $1,568.5 million in 2020.We are now in a legal battle with Shopify as they are far too greedy to resolve a matter when they are clearly at fault. They have even attempted to evade court by stating they do not exist in the UK, when in fact they are registered as a UK business at Companies House! They have also failed to address our multiple requests for a copy of all communication including the recorded calls, which is a requirement under GDPR law. Truly shocking behaviour.Do not use Shopify for anything, we are stuck in a contract which we paid in advance for, and they have no issue with cancelling this, but refuse to reimburse us for the pre-paid plans!Shopify will take a percentage of every single order you make, they will take a percentage for the payment type, they will charge you a monthly subscription service, and in addition will offer you the most pathetic check out options unless you opt in to their Enterprise plan.We will certainly be continuing with Court action and fully intend on sharing this horrible experience with others so they know better to take their business elsewhere. Do yourself a favour and try a custom website, or someone else, just not Shopify.
I ordered from a website that was hosted on Shopify. I realised one day later that I had been scammed because the website didn’t have a physical address neither a phone number which is against shopify rules. I told shopify immediately and their response was that I should wait thirty days. Thirty days later when I reconnected with them about it they say they take scams very seriously and threaten the removal of a website if they are find to have scammed someone. The website now no longer exists and my money is long gone. Good luck to anyone having to deal with this company.
We have been without payments for 3 weeks, you are seriously damaging my business and your staff are unable to do anything about it. I want to talk to someone who is able to sort out my issue, not feed me the same "there isn't anything I can do" line. Please just get someone to sort our issues!
I would not recommend Shopify to build your website. They provide zero traffic even after spending years on Seo. The only traffic comes from your own social media and zero from Google or bing etc. Shopify offers no real support to fix any issue too and just keep referring you to pages to read. They also charge you for the sales you make by yourself and basically give no support by allowing scanners to use charge back to claim their money back without consulting with you. This platform is awful so do not trust them. Trying to leave them to can be a total nightmare. They take subscription payments for virtually doing nothing for you. I truly hope the ombudsman comes for them and demands they pay back vendors stealing our money.
Shopify were meant to transfer a development store from a work colleague's Partner Account to my Partner Account. During this process they somehow lost it or transferred it to some else. Now I cannot transfer ownership to my client who has been waiting a week for the store to launch.Multiple support agents told me they cannot tell me who's partner account the website is under even though there is a clear support ticket paper trail showing where it should have been transferred to. I have spent hours and hours trying to get it resolved, have been passed around departments, and have been unable to request a callback from support. What's happening Shopify?
