I waited patiently, and finally it arrived very late
The first time I ordered from Simply eyeglasses it took four months and five attempts for them to get me a pair of working glasses. I hung in there through 4 pairs of their high end Kodaks before they ordered Seiko lenses made outside their lab. The Seiko’s worked perfectly. I was really happy that they had supplied me with great glasses, even though it had taken a lot of effort. I was pleased with the final result.
A few years later I ordered a new pair of the Seiko lenses I liked so much. Three weeks later they finally arrived, and the lenses were tilted at different angles because they had been so badly mounted to the frames. The lenses were set too wide apart, and there were no laser etched markings on the lenses to indicate they were made by Seiko, or that the lens material was the more expensive Trivex. Basically, I received badly assembled “no-name” lens eyeglasses that I could not use.
I returned them, and Simply Eyeglasses then refused to do anything to help me further. They would not give me a coherent answer why. It appeared suspicious to me, and felt like they were blowing me off after my discovery that the lenses were not branded as Seiko lenses! Four weeks of waiting and nothing to show for it.
Spend your money somewhere else. I should have learned my lesson the first time.
I wanted to purchase lenses for a pair of frames I already own. This was going to run me three times more (even with insurance) going to a glasses shop in my city. I was nervous about doing this online and sending my frames in the mail, but everything went smoothly, and the communication eased my concerns.
I ordered my glasses over the phone after looking through the lens options online, and I tried on the frame at a local shop. The gal who I ordered through was so helpful with suggestions. I got the "simply superior anti reflective" coating over the "Kodak" progressive lenses, and added the Transition Brown that looks great with my blue/brown frame.
The Progressive lens line was too low for me to read so I sent them back, free of charge, and they made new lenses which are crisp & clear!
They have a good selection of frames and comparable prices. I did find my frame elsewhere online at a slightly lower price and they matched it after I sent them an email. This was my second order. The first order arrived fairly quickly but the second order took a while. I have not had to return anything so I cannot comment on that.
I saw a frame at an optical shop that I really wanted but the price was out of my range, so decided to check out Simply Eyeglasses and the frame was almost a hundred dollars cheaper. It was a beautiful designer frame and I ordered it, it came promptly and every thing was perfect. I am so pleased and will continue to do business with this online store!
