Just been in Napier store if you want non existent customer service you get it there. We were acknowledged that was a bonus but after that nothing. Asked for the mate to shoes I was trying on a box just got slapped down on the seat. No asking do you need help nothing. Skechers your staff need some serious customer service training.
Worst online shopping experience I have had.Purchased two pairs of shoes and what arrived, one pair of sandals not even in my size.I immediately got online and went to the chat option.What a waste of time!!!The person I was talking to didn't seem to grasp that I had not received what I had ordered. They then required I send photo's of what I had received. Long story short I had to send the sandals back to receive a refund and it was suggested I re-order the shoes I had already ordered. I don't think so!Not happy with the service or outcome*The refund process went smoothly, all sorted in less than a week. Happy about that.
This is my second poor experience ordering online from Skechers (the first one I let go, but now that it has happened again, I'm assuming it's their normal behaviour). I ordered and paid for Skechers Arch Fit Marlie – Weekend Chat (Female, Black) from Skechers NZ on Sunday 9 November 2025. The boots themselves are excellent! Stylish, supportive, and very comfortable. I ordered a size up, and while they were still a little snug, I suspect that was due to wearing them in hot weather when my feet were slightly swollen. Once broken in, they’ll be perfect everyday boots. Unfortunately, the delivery experience was disappointing. I paid $15 for express shipping, advertised as 1–3 business days. Despite this, my order didn’t arrive until Day 4 (Thursday 13 November). Tracking updates were minimal, and the parcel appeared to be fulfilled via Platypus Shoes in Auckland, which wasn’t communicated upfront. I know it's only one extra day, but when you're paying a $15 premium, you expect it on time. I regularly order from other NZ retailers, often with free shipping, and receive items the next working day, so this delay felt unreasonable given the premium fee. What's even more annoying is that they asked me to review the boots/experience and when I wrote pretty much what I've said in this review, they declined to publish it! Obviously cannot take the criticism!Pros: - Very comfortable and supportive boots - Stylish design, versatile for casual wear - Arch Fit technology provides great support Cons: - Fit runs a little snug (size up depending on shoe material) - Delivery late despite paying $15 for express service - Shipping cost excessive compared to other NZ retailers Overall: The boots themselves are fantastic and worth recommending, but Skechers NZ needs to improve its delivery service and transparency. Customers paying for express shipping should reasonably expect overnight delivery within NZ.
Only received half my order with no correspondence as to why. When I contacted, them they told me there was an error and they didn't have the other half of my order in stock. To which they refunded me. But begs the question if I hadn't queried whether they would have even told me/refunded me.
At least 3 of my Go Walk Sketchers lasted less than 12 months before wearing through top of shoe where my toe was. I bought 1/2 size larger as advised because of thas this proble with previous Go Walk Skechers. However I have always liked the comfort when walking and decided to purchase another pair but decided on New Slip In pair with a toe cap to hopefully prevent this problem. After visiting Albany Sketchers and not receiving very much help in shop I looked online and decided the Slip model Sarai with toe cap worth $185 might solve the problem. However I was unavailable in size and colour in Auckland and told these could not be delivered to an Aucklagnd shop I reluctantly ordered same online paying the $15 extra freight. I was also assured these could be returned and refunded or exchanged in store if not suitable.After receiving them and wearing them for a few hours around home found them too tight and uncomfortable around the top of my foot I then took them to Albany shop the next day where the very abrupt manager examined them minuetly and declared they had been used apart from wearing on carpet. This is correct as I walked on path outside to try them outside as I needed them for walking on footpath, however nowhere was this mentioned orcan I find this in Sketchers return policy that they must only be tried on carpet. I am left with an expensive pair of shoes which are too uncomfortable to wear.
