I just spoke to Emily at Customer Services, to express my concern about a fault / consumer safety concern with our cooker.
Despite being out of warranty, due the the nature of the particular fault, Emily has arranged for an engineer to attend and rectify the fault as a matter of urgency. I am absolutely delighted with the customer service and the very positive response and attitude demonstrated by the company.

Unfortunately, the kettles are simply faulty and not fit for purpose. I bought a matching kettle and toaster and they are very expensive and I would expect them to last longer than 2 years. I was told by a number of people that the kettles break easily and to not waste my money but i thought they looked nice and would match the kitchen. They last approximately 1 year - 18 months. I'm on my 3rd!!!! kettle and this now doesn't switch itself off it just continues to boil until you physically turn it off. All 3 kettles have been faulty and lasted no more than 18 months. The customer service originally admitted faults and replaced the kettle but have now just washed their hands and said there is nothing they can do, in fact they implied they had done me a favour by replacing the faulty kettles in the first place. The toaster broke once and customer service said i could buy another at 50% off but we looked at a youtube video instead and fixed it ourselves. I am a person who will happily spend money for good quality but i do expect it to last (especially longer than 18months). I've learnt my lesson and unfortunately I wouldn't buy another smeg product. A friend of mine bought a smeg fridge and that also broke but customer service wouldn't do anything to assist her on that occasion. You live and learn.

Fantastic support from the service team

I encountered a problem with my kettle, which had stopped functioning. After reaching out to the company in Italy, I was directed to their customer service in the UK. I had the pleasure of working with two representatives who were incredibly responsive and resolved my issue to my satisfaction. They were very pleasant and clearly knowledgeable. Good customer service can be hard to find, but these representatives truly excelled. I now look forward to receiving my replacement product. Thank you both!

Disappointing experience with the oven

Our oven is about a year old and developed an electrical issue. An engineer was dispatched to 'fix' it, but after replacing a part, the oven completely failed and locked shut, making it impossible to open. The effort to resolve this has stretched over a month, leaving the oven entirely unusable. With the holiday season approaching, I requested a quick solution. The first two representatives assured me they could facilitate a replacement through the original retailer, who could deliver in a few days. However, the last representative I spoke to indicated this wasn't feasible and that we 'might' receive the replacement before the holidays. In any situation, having a broken oven for six weeks is unacceptable, especially with Christmas coming up. I expected a more effective resolution based on earlier assurances. Ultimately, I no longer trust this brand and would prefer a replacement from another brand instead. In summary, I've encountered a subpar product and inadequate customer service. I will not consider purchasing from them again and do not recommend this brand; it's better to look elsewhere. Our previous oven lasted 25 years, and this one barely makes it past one year.

Frustrating experience with the oven

My oven, which is about a year old, developed an electrical fault. An engineer attempted to fix it by replacing a part, but this resulted in the oven malfunctioning completely. The process has dragged on for over a month, leaving me without a functional oven. With the holidays approaching, I sought a quick resolution, but the responses I received were unhelpful. Ultimately, I no longer trust this brand and prefer to seek alternatives. This experience has been disappointing in both product quality and customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this brand to anyone.

Exceptional assistance from the representative

I needed a replacement item, and the representative was very quick to respond to my emails. When there was a delivery issue due to the courier, I reached out again, and she promptly arranged for a new item to be sent out. This level of service is what I expect but don’t always receive. I truly appreciate the quick responses and efficient delivery. Thank you!
