"In stock" - available or not?

I found a soundbar for a reasonable price on their website. The item status was listed as 'in stock'.Now to my mind in stock means available and ready for packing and dispatch.A few days after ordering, I emailed for delivery information. The response being: "I was to be patient, no delivery estimation was available at that time".That did not sit well with me. I emailed again admitting confusion as the item was listed as in stock, so implying availability.I received no further communication.I emailed again requesting the order be cancelled and payment refunded. Again no further communication.At this stage I opened a dispute with Paypal, showing the available communication and website status which still listed the item as "in stock".Also included some reviews showing the company does not treat its customers well, or supplies goods of poor quality.Within a few days of Paypal action, a magical email arrived saying cancellation was not possible as the item had been dispatched.Some poking is required to get them moving - this does not sit well with me or my shopping experience.If I would office some guidance:- Treat your customers well; they have elected to spend hard-earned money with you- Answer questions; do not shut down communication when the questions become inconvenient to you- Be honest; if the item is shown as "in stock", then it is available. If not in stock, then it is not available and so update your website accordingly- Don't hide; answer communication even if the news is bad, treat the customer like an adult, not a child

Easy to order from and free shipping is great..Have received order and is small enough to use .... however extra battery is a must for more energy that is needed on a higher setting to reach bin, if used in full extension mode. Would be nice if the tube wasn't so restricted from putting power wires in extension wond. Should have been on the outside. But they wanted to make something nice looking.
