We recently had the frames and door of our old conservatory replaced and a new solid roof installed which also necessitated in some internal and external buildings works to make the space much more user friendly for the family. Whilst Solarframe may not be the cheapest you do pay for what you get and in my opinion you are paying for a quality product and quality workmanship,The rebuild, installation and remodelling was completed within the timeframe which was pre agreed. Our Installation Co-ordinator, Connor was fantastic. He contacted us daily to keep us updated and to remind us when the next tradeperson would be on site. All of the trades personnel were prompt, they were respectful given my wife works from home, they kept the site tidy and were informative. We would have no hesitation in recommending Solarframe to anyone else that is considering using them. Thank you for a job well done. Mr & Mrs Mitchell, Bradford
The installation of our Composite side door went well, from the ordering of the door at the Kirkstall Show room in Leeds, to the actual installation, we had no problems whatsoever. We were allocated a coordinator, and Conner did a great job and kept us informed throughout the process.The only issue we have is that, the Cat Flap could have been fitted better. We supplied a brand new Cat Flap, to the gentleman who came to measure up prior to installation. We were under the impression this would be fitted at the factory. Instead it was fitted when the door was being installed. I think the actual hole in the door has not been cut accurately, and the flap does not close squarely, resulting in a poor seal when the flap is shut, causing a draft. I have contacted the supplier of the Cat Flap and explained the problem, they say its a fault caused by poor fitting of the Cat Flap
They sold my 94 year old father a window he didn’t need. It only needed a blown glass unit replaced which was quoted at a price of £40 for supply only from another company. The window they quoted, supplied and fitted was £1500, which was paid for upfront and when I found out, it was too late cancel the order and get a refund.
Very professional Company. From our initial enquiry to completion Solarframe kept to the schedule they had created and kept us fully informed each afternoon on the time of arrival of the different teams.From the surveyor to the roof installers to the plasterers to the electrician and finally the finish man. we have nothing but praise for each and every one.They were always friendly considerate and easy to talk to about the project and any concerns were easily answered. We chose to have a 7m x 3m side extension and four upstairs windows by Solarframes. Their showrooms in Kirkstall and Rotheram gave us a great impression from the start. The staff were helpful and informative and we could see the choice of room layouts and materials immediately. The planning application was handled by Solarframes and the subsequent schedule of works was clear and carried out by polite and professional tradespeople. We are delighted with our finished side extension and new windows which have transformed our house beautifully. We would not hesitate to recommend them.

The difference in quality compared to what I had before is like night and day – it feels like a brand-new space.While it wasn’t the cheapest option, the value for money is incredible. Honestly, I almost feel like I scammed them – that’s how happy I am with the outcome!The installation itself was completed within the timeframe agreed at the outset, and once the date was locked in, everything ran like clockwork. The project coordinator kept me updated daily, and I always knew exactly who was coming and when. Every tradesperson was prompt, efficient, tidy, and respectful – a real credit to the company.There were a few bumps earlier in the process. After the surveyor’s visit, I needed to make some changes to the plans, and it took two weeks (and some chasing) to get the revised costs. There was also a bit of a communication gap afterward where I wasn’t sure what was happening. I would have appreciated more regular updates during that stage.The showroom experience in Leeds was also a bit of a letdown. It might have just been the timing of my visit, but it didn’t leave a strong impression. If I hadn’t been so motivated, I could easily have walked away without committing.All in all though, I’m still super happy with the end result. The transformation is amazing, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a conservatory upgrade.
The solar roofing on 2 conservatories at my house are great. However the guttering around has caused problems even that lone length was short. Following initial wok the guttering was not fitted correctly to enter drain. This was dealt with separately. Disappointed with aftercare. Had to check one week after reporting problem. Second week later no contact. Not good!
