A good firm to deal with kept informed at all stages door fitted on date and time. Fitter very tidy and informative when work completed door looked wonderful giving more light in my tiny hall I have no hesitation in recommending this company
My sister recently had new conservatory windows fitted by this firm. When trying to have vertical blinds fitted the installer requested the plastic trim be removed which Solarframe have done but the shoddy workmanship hidden by the plastic trim means the there is more remedial work needs doing as there is a 2 cm unfilled deep gap left the length of three windows. Despite both my sister and i contacting solarframe on numerous occassions this is still unresolved Park Lane Doncaster
The mess left on the ceiling after fitting windows into a Solar frame roof was disgusting and have been advised any benefit from the new windows would be outweighed by the gaps between the windows and the ceiling. After sales service is deplorable now costing me £200 to have put right. This is the third time I have given business to Solar frame and not had successful results. Expensive lesson finally learnt. I would most certainly not recommend Solar Frame
We were looking for a company to take the stress away from us having to project manage converting our conservatory into an orangery, Solar frame were brilliant. From start to finish, quote to completion it was an enjoyable and stress free experience. Happy with the cost, workmen Mark & Steve were very professional and efficient, no mess, great job done and we love it. I had a new roof installed on my conservatory. Rob the salesman from Solar was very professional provide a drawing and pricing that was very decent. Once the installation date was provided , I was contacted by Kat the installation co-ordinator who provided a schedule of the installation - so I had a detailed plan of the electrics , installation and plastering work and which day they would take place. Near the time Kat kept me informed of what time the tradesman would be arriving etc and would also call at the end of each day to ensure everything was ok. Great customer service. The tradesman were very professional and tidy. All in all the installation went really smoothly especially when I had it done in school half term with two small children to look after.
We bought a house where the previous owners had an extension built on the back, no more than a a few years old this extension. We noticed issues around the door fittings including damp. The previous owners kindly left all documentation the whole Solar Frame pack that they received themselves when the building was done.Solar Frame are telling us that despite the fact the extension is still under 'warranty' , that the warranty lies with the owners of the property at the time the building works were done and NOT with the build extension itself. If I am missing something here please do inform me, however, we are struggling to understand why even offer a warranty for the work carried out, if the home changes owners then Solar Frame are refusing to assist with their own building works and customer service? My understanding from the information being given is that the warranty is practically useless, if persons are to move house they cannot pick up the extension and take it with them? , so, what is the point in offering such a 'warranty' for the work carried out when Solar Frame will only honor it if the home owners are the same people at the time the work was complete.... Absolutely mind boggling.
Absolutely fantastic company from the quote to the end of the instillation. Most of the workmen were friendly, the one that wasn't my concerns were addressed. Katie, the installations co-ordinator was attentive and rang me regularly with updates and to check everything was going ok. Any concerns were addressed immediately and when the skip was collected and rubbish was left, Katie sorted collection immediately. Work was of a high quality and am really pleased. Would definitely use them again and highly recommend.
